Former CNN journalist Chris Cuomo is now embroiled in a sexual misconduct scandal of his own.
Earlier this week, CNN suspended Chris Cuomo, 51, for aiding his older brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, 63, against the sexual misconduct charges levied against him.
As The Blast previously reported, a CNN spokesperson declared that “The New York Attorney General’s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense. The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions.”

In a tweet, Cuomo responded to the news, saying, “This is not how I want my time at CNN to end but I have already told you why and how I helped my brother.”
Cuomo continued, “So let me now say as disappointing as this is, I could not be more proud of the team at Cuomo Prime Time and the work we did as CNN’s #1 show in the most competitive time slot. I owe them all and will miss that group of special people who did really important work.”

Although many questioned the journalist integrity of Cuomo reporting on his brother’s scandal, CNN said, “When Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother’s staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly, but we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second.”
However, they decided to terminate his position after consulting with an outside law firm.
As The Blast reported last night, the law firm discovered “additional information [that] has come to light” that was not previously known during his suspension. Although CNN declined to comment on the matter further, it has now been revealed that the younger Cuomo is facing his own accusations of sexual misconduct.
Chris Cuomo Accused Of Sexual Misconduct By Ex-ABC Colleague
According to the New York Post, the woman who accused Chris Cuomo of sexual misconduct is a woman who used to work with him at ABC. The New York Times, who first reported on these allegations earlier today, described the woman only as “a former junior colleague at another network.”
Cuomo had previously worked as a news anchor for “Good Morning America” from 2006 to 2009 and worked as an anchor on “20/20” before he joined CNN’s morning show in 2013.
The woman, who does not want her identity to be disclosed, is working with independent lawyers who have been hired by CNN earlier this week. As part of her agreement to be interviewed, she has asked for full anonymity and for everything she discloses to be kept confidential. She is working with CNN through her lawyer, Debra Katz.
According to an insider, this is not the first accusation of sexual harassment that Chris Cuomo is facing.
Former ABC executive producer Shelley Ross alleged that Chris Cuomo grabbed her rear end during a work party in 2005. He allegedly told her, “I can do this now that you’re no longer my boss.”
Although he reportedly later apologized, female producer Melanie Buck revealed that she was replaced as executive producer of “Cuomo Prime Time” last year after she told CNN boss Jeff Zucker that she “felt threatened” by Cuomo.
Chris Cuomo has yet to comment on these allegations.
