Paris Hilton Says Britney Spears Is 'A Light In This World' In Birthday Tribute

Britney Spears, who just turned 40 yesterday, is getting birthday greetings from her famous friends, including her longtime friend Paris Hilton, also 40.

The "Simple Life" star took to Instagram and shared multiple pictures of her and Britney taken in the early 2000s. The first picture was a selfie of the two, wearing black bunny ears, followed by snaps taken on the same day with the pop icon wearing a white satin top with long sleeves and black fishnet stockings, while Paris rocked a black sleeveless top and blue jeans.

The fourth pic showed Britney and Paris talking backstage in their sexy outfits. The former sported a striped crop top and jeans, while the latter wore a tiny beige tube top and a blue satin pencil skirt. A swipe to the right showed the duo in formal wear with the reality star rocking a fuschia dress while the singer was in a sparkly number.

In the next slide, Britney and Paris, both in white tops, posed for a photo in front of the paparazzi. They were photographed with their arms locked into each other with big smiles on their faces in the following image. The hotel heiress looked stunning in a short dress, layering it with a black leather jacket, while the "Toxic" hitmaker ditched her top, wearing only a plush tie-up jacket and a short lime green skirt.

"Happy Birthday @BritneySpears! ?????" Paris captioned the post.

She continued, "So many magical memories with you!✨?‍♀️✨ You are beautiful, fun, kind and such a light in this world!? I'm so proud of you. You are so strong and have overcome so much this year!?"

She added, "I'm so excited for this next chapter for you celebrating your freedom and your upcoming marriage! ? You deserve all the happiness in the world.? Can't wait to see you as a gorgeous Bride! ✨??‍♀️✨ Love you #BirthdayGirl! ??✨"

After only a few hours of posting, the share earned over 330,000 likes. Both Britney and Paris' fans also added 2,500-plus comments in the same brief time span.

"weird how you guys BOTH don’t look a day older than when this picture was taken.. your genes both!!" one wrote.

"YASSS QUEENS! That third pic is nostalgic AF," added another.

"The girls are thriving," remarked a third commenter, adding a series of white heart emojis.

Meanwhile, Paris' mom, Kathy Hilton, also adored the snaps and the message as she dropped two heart-eye emojis.

Paris has always been supportive of Britney. Last month, she celebrated her gal pal's freedom from a 13-year conservatorship.

"I'm so happy that this day has finally come. This moment is so long overdue," she wrote on Twitter, adding the hashtag #FreedBritney. "BritneySpears is finally free!!! You're the most resilient, kind and inspiring soul. We all love you so so much! Your best days are yet to come!"

In September 2020, Paris revealed she met up with Britney with an intimate group of friends.

"I saw her this summer. We've had dinners, I saw her in Malibu. I just love her so much," she told host Andy Cohen on SiriusXM's "Andy Cohen Live."

She added, "She is so sweet and so innocent and such a nice girl. We just talk about happy things. Music, fashion… fun things. I never like to bring up negative things and make people feel uncomfortable so I've never talked about [the conservatorship] with her."
