Britney Spears Trades Champagne For Fireworks In Birthday Bonanza!

Singer Britney Spears is making her 40th birthday one to remember!

The "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer revealed on Instagram that she was traveling internationally for her birthday, although she didn’t say what country she was traveling to.

In an Instagram video she posted on Thursday afternoon, Britney revealed a room covered in balloons, with large silver ones in the shape of letters that spelled out “Happy Birthday Britney.”

The video then cuts to a cake in the shape of a large “B.” It is adorned with pink and red roses and a white heart that is engraved with the words “Happy Birthday Britney.”

The video pans out to reveal champagne being poured into a wine flute; however, in the caption, Britney makes it clear that “I didn’t even drink the champagne. No lie !!!!”

On November 15, Britney teased that she “actually got my first glass of champagne at the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever seen last night” after celebrating being freed from her 13-year conservatorship.

The video then cuts to a three-member band playing two guitars and a violin outside a Spanish-style home. Another video cut reveals fireworks being shot up into a night sky over the water while music plays in the background.

“I’m so blessed and grateful !!!!” Britney wrote in the caption. “Tears of joy today … Thank you all for the b-day wishes.”

Earlier today, Britney posted another video of her dancing back and forth on an airstrip after boarding a private plane to begin her birthday vacation. Britney is wearing a long-sleeved white blouse and matching white jean shorts. She matched the look with red boots going up to her knees and a brown handbag. She is wearing aviator sunglasses, with her long blonde hair swept over one shoulder.

Celebrities couldn’t help but comment on the post to celebrate Britney’s big day.

“Happy birthday Britney!!!” wrote late night host Jimmy Fallon.

“Happy Birthday,” said Heidi Klum, alongside a cake-emoji, a balloon-emoji, and a present-emoji.

Britney’s fiancé, Sam Asghari, also shared a snap of the two kissing on Instagram yesterday. It looks like the photo was taken shortly after boarding the plane.

“I call you Lioness because I admire your relentless strength,” he captioned the pic. “I’m inspired by your beautiful heart, I celebrate your smile that lights up my world ❤️ Everyday is your birthday my queen ? Happy 1st birthday to my wife ? #dec2nd @britneyspears.”

Fans couldn’t help but share some love on his post as well.

“Happy birthday to your queen,” wrote Randall Emmett.

Anthony Meindl simply commented, “Love.”

“Power couple ftw!” another fan wrote.

In a post dated yesterday, Britney shared her excitement about her upcoming birthday vacation with her fans.

“Oh the precious joy today !!!” she wrote. “Me and my fiancé are so excited to be going away.”

She added, “God thank you for being able to go out of the country !!!! I am blessed !!!!”
