While speaking about their 9-year-old son, Jack, the "A Single Man" director recalled how Buckley helped out in the morning. He disclosed that he had to adjust his morning routine to prepare their son for school now that Buckley was no more.

"Until recently, I had Richard to help me out in the mornings. It's been a little bit of a struggle the last month," he said. The designer noted that Buckley always took care of their son while he prepared for work. However, now he had to take up the role and is luckily thriving in it.

According to Ford, the upside to waking up early to prepare Jack for school is that he gets to be in the office as early as 8:10 am to get a good headstart.
