Shawn Mendes is ready to wear his heart on his sleeve in a brand-new song.

The song titled, “It’ll Be Okay,” is a song Shawn is releasing in the wake of his breakup from Camila Cabello.

He announced the song will drop on Wednesday, December 1 at 7 PM EST.

In the teaser sample he sings, “Are we gonna make it, is this gonna hurt?”

The song sounds somber, slow and full of emotion.

Fans of Shawn commented on the post feeling just as heartbroken as he sounds singing it.

“I know this is gonna hurt so bad ?,” one person commented.

Another asked, “Heartbreak anthem?”

Others were building Shawn up with fire and heart emojis, excitement and supporting him to make this is “Heartbreak Era.”

Fans of “ShawMila,” as they were so aptly called, were STUNNED when the couple announced their breakup on social media earlier this month.

The now-former couple shared a joint statement that read, “Hey guys we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.”

The statement concluded with appreciation for their fans the overwhelming support and love from the start before signing off as “Camila and Shawn.”

The shocking split comes more than two years after the pair began dating.

Shawn and Camila’s romance first made headlines in 2019, and the release of their joint hit song, “Senorita,” only fueled the romance. However, the pair initially denied the speculations, making fans label it as a publicity stunt.

However, several countless PDA moments captured by the paparazzi said otherwise. Finally, at the MTV Video Music Awards, the pair made their first red carpet debut, sending sparks down our spines.

Prior to confirming their highly anticipated romance, Shawn and Camila had the rumor mill churning when she was still in Fifth Harmony and he was a hot new musician on the scene.

The singers first met in 2014 when they were opening acts for Austin Mahomes.

Their romance seemed to spark soon after and in 2015 the relationship rumor mill was churning.

That same year they released their first song together, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”

Years would go by where they thwarted off any sort of romance or relationship rumors, but by 2019 there was no denying it.

The two quarantined in Miami, FL. during the pandemic and even bought a fur baby together. They named him Tarzan.
