The “Baby Driver” star, 27, isn’t especially active on social media, especially since he was accused of sexual assault last year.
On Thanksgiving, Ansel’s dad, Arthur Elgort, 81, surprised fans when he shared a lovely family picture on his account.

Ansel posed alongside his dad, mom Grethe Barrett Holby, 73, brother Warren Elgort, 31, and sister Sophie Elgort, 35. The Elgort clan posed outdoors and dressed for the occasion with Arthur wearing a black coat, while Ansel and Warren were in suits. As for the women, Sophie rocked a silky blue blazer, while Grethe looked gorgeous in a short silver dress. All except for the DJ and singer were wearings shoes.
“Happy Thanksgiving 🍁,” Arthur’s caption read.
While Ansel didn’t share anything on social media, his girlfriend Violetta Komyshan, 25, appeared to have spent the holidays with him and his family. The ballet dancer posted a video to her Instagram Stories, showing a little girl drawing on a table — and she looked like Sophie’s 3-year-old daughter Stella.
Since Ansel’s social media hiatus and sexual assault issue, fans have been wondering about his relationship with his high school sweetheart. The couple has been bombarded with split rumors since the dancer has shared little to nothing about her beau. Although, they are still following each other on Instagram.
The “Goldfinch” actor has denied the sexual assault claims last year and has shared his side of the story in a now-deleted Instagram post.
“I cannot claim to understand Gabby’s feelings but her description of events is simply not what happened. I have never and would never assault anyone,” Ansel wrote in a note as seen on EW.
He continued, “What is true is that in New York in 2014, when I was 20, Gabby and I had a brief, legal, and entirely consensual relationship. Unfortunately, I did not handle the breakup well. I stopped responding to her, which is an immature and cruel thing to do to someone. I know this belated apology does not absolve me of my unacceptable behavior when I disappeared,” and added, “As I look back at my attitude, I am disgusted and deeply ashamed of the way I acted. I am truly sorry. I know I must continue to reflect, learn, and work to grow in empathy.”
Ansel was last recently spotted at the 2021 American Music Awards, which was his first major appearance in almost two years, as per Just Jared. While there, he went on stage to present a clip from his new film “West Side Story” on November 21 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The actor was joined by his co-star Rachel Zegler, and together, they presented an award to Machine Gun Kelly.
After the allegations, Ansel deactivated his Instagram account. In September, he reactivated it again and shared his upcoming movies’ trailer, alongside a heartfelt caption.
“Being a part of this ensemble has been one of the greatest honors of my life. The stellar cast, legendary production team, all star crew, and world class orchestra constantly inspired us to give our best every day. We are all so excited to share this movie with you!!! With love and immense gratitude ❤️ Ansel,” he wrote.
“West Side Story” is set to hit theaters on December 10.
