Jessie J Suffered A Miscarriage

In an Instagram post, the "Flashlight" singer revealed that she recently suffered a miscarriage. Jessie uploaded a photo of her joyfully holding up a positive pregnancy test alongside a quote that read, "sometimes love won't be enough to make it work, and that's ok. It doesn't mean you have failed."

In the lengthy accompanying caption, the singer detailed the harrowing experience. She recalled that yesterday, she was joking with a friend about how she wouldn't get through a Los Angeles gig without telling the crowd she was expecting.

Unfortunately, by the afternoon, the tide had changed. Jessie wrote, "By yesterday afternoon I was dreading the thought of getting through the gig without breaking down… After going for my 3rd scan and being told there was no longer a heartbeat ?"

The 33-year-old got candid about her feelings, admitting that she had no control over her emotions and wasn't sure if she would regret sharing the news.

The 'Price Tag' Songstress Will Keep Singing No Matter What

Despite the overwhelming pain of losing her pregnancy, Jessie shared that she was sure of one thing in her life. "What I do know is that I want to sing tonight. Not because I'm avoiding the grief or the process, but because I know singing tonight will help me," she wrote.

Jessie explained that she has only done two shows in the past two years, but she needs to sing even more tonight. She noted that while people might urge her to cancel her L.A. show, it is the one thing that she needs at the moment.

The "Ice Age: Collision Course" star shared that singing was something she does for joy and self-love therapy, and it was going to remain that way. She, however, mentioned that she would talk about her miscarriage on stage, but rather than give a speech, she would sing about it.

Who Is Jessie J's Baby Daddy?
