Who Is Britney Spears Calling Her ‘Inspiration For The Rest Of The Year’?

Singer Britney Spears showed some love for Lady Gaga in a new Instagram post on Monday night.

On November 22, Britney posted a photo of Gaga looking absolutely fierce in a tight-fitting leopard jumpsuit and long dangling earrings. Gaga looks straight ahead at the camera, her long blonde hair falling in loose waves past her shoulders.

“Why hello sexy lady !!!!” Britney captioned the pic. “Thanks again for your kind words ….. you’ve inspired me too and I’m in love with this outfit !!!! You’re my inspiration for the rest of the year and congrats on your amazing movie !!!! Love, B.”

She capped off the caption with three kiss-mark emojis. The post received over 350,000 likes within the first half-hour of posting.

Along with the image, Britney attached a video of Lady Gaga answering a question about Britney on the “House of Gucci” Red Carpet.

“I watched her as a young girl and I still watch her now,” Gaga says in the clip. “She is… she is wildly talented, she is incredibly inspirational, and I’m just so happy that we get to celebrate today, that she gets to embark on a new phase of her life. And… she authored her freedom.”

Gaga had equally kind words for Britney at another “House of Gucci” red carpet in New York City on November 18.

When asked if she would be open to collaborating with Britney in the future, Gaga enthusiastically replied, “I would!”

She continued, “I love all of Britney’s work. I can’t choose just one [song]. I mean, ‘Oops!…I Did It Again,’ of course, is one of my favorites.”

In last Thursday’s interview, Gaga continued to gush over Britney, calling her “a woman in this business that showed a lot of power in her sexuality, even in her youth, in a way that I think, as a young woman, was just so inspiring and empowering.”

She continued, “We can all root for her, but the person who changed her life was her. So this change that’s happening for her, it happened because of her, I believe, and I’m really… I’m excited for her future and I wish her all the best.”

Fans of both singers couldn’t help but show their love in the comments of Britney’s post.

“Legend supporting legend,” one fan wrote.

“QUEENS,” said another.

“Telephone part 3 confirmed!!” one fan said, which was liked 361 times.

“Does this mean A COLLAB?” one fan asked, while another replied, “I hope so. It would bring world peace.”

“Gaga is always full of support of other women!!!” said another fan. “Love her.”

Although it’s yet to be seen if a collaboration between these two singers is in the works, Lady Gaga is continuing with her acting career. After receiving critical acclaim for her role in 2018’s “A Star Is Born,” Gaga was cast as Italian socialite Patrizia Reggiani in Ridley Scott’s biographical crime drama, “House of Gucci,” which features a star-studded cast of Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Salma Hayek, Jared Leto, and Jeremy Irons.

“House of Gucci” is available in theaters on November 24, 2021.
