Joe And Michelle Explore Their Hometown

The search for love brought Young back to her Minnesota hometown. She believed it was the perfect place to connect back with her roots, find more about herself, and hopefully, have a breakthrough in love.

For her first one-on-one date of the week, she chose frontrunner Joe as her partner from the rest of the men. And fortunately, he also hails from Minnesota.

Speaking of home, Young had a conversation with her parents at the beginning of the episode, reviewing her journey thus far and the connections she's formed. "I think there's more than one guy here who would pick me every day," she said.

Naturally, there were loads of great memories to be made, and drama, of course.

How Did The Date Go?

Young began the date by tossing the first pitch at a Twins game. According to the game's rule, if the Bachelorette threw a strike, she'd have to kiss Joe on the lips. The reality star succeeded, and the crowd erupted as they kissed.

She and Joe then went to the lead's old high school, visited her old locker, read through her yearbook, and played a game of one-on-one basketball. Although they had a swell date so far, things got more intimate during the night date.

Joe opened up about sports, how the injuries he sustained while playing influenced his career, and how difficult his life became. Young understood because she is a sportsperson too, and at that moment, it felt like a new chapter in their relationship was about to begin.

The pair shared a more intimate smooch after a while. Young told the producers she felt special when Joe opened up to her and admitted that her feelings had doubled.

The Ultimate Viking Date

A group date was held at the Minnesota Vikings stadium. Here, the competitors took part in Viking tasks led by two gigantic men dressed as real Vikings.

When the men arrived at the U.S. Bank Stadium for the group date, they were shocked to learn that it wasn't just football but a competition to determine the true Viking.

After they roared war cries, flung tree stumps, dressed in Viking attire, ate fermented salmon, and arm-wrestled, Clayton emerged as the Ultimate Viking. This birthed a fantastic conversation with Young after his triumph, as they bonded and got to know more about each other.

Chris S, who had been bothering the guys the entire day with complaints, didn't speak to Young the entire night. But he did constantly grumble about not getting a one-on-one date. Young gave Clayton a rose, but she was completely ignorant of Chris's feelings.

The Cocktail Party

The Bachelorette enjoyed nice moments with Rick, Brandon, and Rodney during the cocktail party but had difficulty talking with Martin. The personal trainer accused Young of saying the same thing to all the guys.

He ranted about how women he dated in the past were "high maintenance" and wanted him to do everything for them. She questioned him about what makes a woman more demanding than a man, but he couldn't offer her a satisfactory response.

Martin concluded that there had been a "miscommunication on her end." Although they were in a rocky position, she still handed him a rose. Rick, Olu, Joe, Brandon, and Rodney also got roses. Unfortunately, Casey and Leroy had to go home because they didn't get roses.

Special moments shared with potential lovers left the viewers wondering who Young will finally choose. Fans were given a sneak peek into the rest of the season, with all of the men freely admitting their growing love for The Bachelorette. "They've all told me that I'm their person," Young confessed, "but I can't be everyone's person."

Young then sobbed about the reality of breaking someone's heart and was afraid of getting hers broken as well.
