Tattoos are a very old and beautiful means of expression. Despite the constant changes in society, tattoos have stuck with the times. It has also evolved, and now people can have a detailed memory of people and events written or drawn on their skin permanently.
For many people, tattoos mean more than just ink on their skin; they are symbols that are significant and close to their hearts. One such person is Megan Fox, the celebrity actress with several tattoos on her body of names and symbols that are important to her.
She recently revealed in an interview that her love for tattoos is something that she tries as much as possible to spread to those that she loves, including her boyfriends. She shared that she mandated that her partner gets her face tattoo on his skin for all her relationships.
This very interesting requirement naturally made many of her fans curious about how it worked out and whether any of her partners actually did it. Here is all the info we’ve been able to find.
Fox Has A Preference For Men With Tattoos
In a 2009 interview with Digital Spy, Fox spoke about her relationships and preferences for her partners. She revealed that she was only attracted to men with tattoos. The model and actress said, “My boyfriends are all required to have one (a tattoo).”
Fox definitely wasn’t joking about the preference from her dating history, and it doesn’t seem like it has changed over the years.
Her ex-husband, Brian Austin Green, had tattoos before he met and married Fox and got additions during their relationship.
Her current boyfriend, Colson Baker, popularly known as Machine Gun Kelly or MGK, also has numerous tattoos on his body and has gotten several more since they started dating, including a matching one with the actress.
She Makes Her Boyfriends Get A Tattoo Of Her
Fox also revealed what she did when she dated men who had no tattoos. She said, “If they don’t have one yet, I make them get a tattoo of my name or face.”
This rule apparently wasn’t only limited to those with no tattoos as a report by Style Bistro stated that Green got a tattoo of her name on his chest during their relationship.
Similarly, MGK also got matching tattoos with the actress recently. The actress’ was a simple line that read “the darkest fairytale.” When asked about the tattoo in an interview, she said, “F-ing best tattoo I’ve ever seen in my life. It looks like a fairy ghost did it, right? It’s all haunted.”
Many of her fans have discussed the actress’s tattoo requirement on social media and stated that they support the star. People should be allowed to have their preferences for the people they would like to date.
Fox Has Eight Tattoos
In her Digital Spy interview, Fox revealed that she had eight tattoos on her body at the time.
She has gotten several additions over the years, but the exact amount isn’t sure as the actress is yet to reveal this particular information. Her tattoos are all different, from names and poems to symbols and quotes.
During an interview with the YouTube channel, The Celeb Factory, Fox spoke about her favorite tattoo on her body. She said, “I think the poem on my ribs. And just because I love looking at it, it’s the most interesting place that I have a tattoo so far.”
Fox recently got a tattoo on her collarbone that reads el pistolero, a Spanish phrase that means the gunman. Many of her fans and Insider have speculated that the tattoo references her current beau, MGK. However, the actress has neither confirmed nor denied the speculations.
Does She Have A Tattoo Inspired By Mickey Rourke
Many of Fox’s tattoos are interesting and mysterious, particularly the tattoo of a quote by Friedrich Nietzsche. The tattoo reads, “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”
Many of her fans have shared their thoughts on the inspiration and meaning behind the tattoo, and the popular consensus was that the actress got it to pay homage to her controversial former co-star, Michael Rourke.
The two worked together on “Passion Play” in 2010 and bonded on the set. Despite initial reports by several blogs, including Insider, that Rourke inspired the tattoo, Fox later spoke out about the rumor and clarified her statements.
She spoke to MTV and said, “I have a tattoo that is a Nietzsche quote that sort of basically is about marching to the beat of your own drummer and not being afraid to do that. I was saying that it reminds me of Mickey, of course, because he clearly is not marching to anyone else’s drummer, drumbeat, and that’s all.”
