Britney Spears is done with being “Overprotected!”

As The Blast previously reported, Spears became a free woman after a 13-year conservatorship that was immediately terminated on Friday, November 12, after a court ruling.

Spears celebrated the victory by sharing a video of fans celebrating outside the LA County courthouse where the hearing took place.

She wrote, “Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy!!! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!! Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen????”

She followed it up with the hashtag #FreedBritney, a twist on the #FreeBritney movement that had been fighting for her conservatorship release for years.

Still, Spears is facing some tough competition, as the previous winners have been credited with some ground-breaking achievements.

In 2020, the title was split between now-President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, who became the first woman, first African American, and first Asian American to hold the office.

In 2019, the title went to environmental activist Greta Thunberg. In 2018, it went to The Guardians: journalists who faced persecution, arrest, or murder for their reporting. In 2017, it went to The Silence Breakers: the people who spoke out against sexual abuse and harassment and included the figureheads of the #MeToo movement. In 2016, the title went to former President Donald Trump.
