The 38-year-old Olivia Munn was recently featured on Andy Cohen's show, where she disclosed everything she knew about the Aaron Rodgers family drama.
The actress addressed the tabloid reports, which stated that she was the cause of the fight between the 34-year-old quarterback player and his nuclear family.
Munn admitted that she was, in fact, cordial with his siblings and parents. She also mentioned that Rodgers was already ostracized from his family before the duo started dating. However, she encouraged him to repair their relationship.
"Before he and I started dating, he hadn't spoken to his parents and one brother for, like, eight months before we started dating," she said. "And I remember my last day on The Newsroom. I spent the day in my trailer just encouraging him to have an honest conversation with his parents, and we just kind of did bullet points. And then they had a nice conversation, and they started coming out my first year when I was in Green Bay in 2014, and then it just went south," the actress explained.
She also suggested that the reason for Rodgers' rift with his family was that they were more invested in his career than his health.
"Rodgers' father played football, and he's a sports chiropractor, and his brother -- they're all into sports," she continued. "They're all in sports. And Aaron is one of the best -- if not the best -- quarterbacks ever to play the game, so their work has a direct connection to what he does, and at the end of the day, there are a lot of complications. I don't think either side of the road is clean, but I do think it's not OK when you try to stand on someone's shoulders and then throw dirt in their face, which is what I think they did with him," she concluded.
How Did Munn & Rodgers Meet?
Although Rodgers is one of the most famous players in the NFL, when his ex-girlfriend Munn met him for the first time, she "had no idea" who the Green Bay Packers quarterback was.
During a sit-down with Conan in 2015, she admitted that her first thought when she encountered Rodgers was that he was a college player.
The Mortdecai star joked to host Conan O'Brien about her athletic lover saying, "All I saw was that he was, like, really attractive. I didn't care what he did."
She donned a sexy orange jumpsuit for her appearance and chatted about living in Green Bay with Rodgers. "I love it in Green Bay. It's comfortable there, and everybody is so great," the actress said. She added that the "cold there isn't so bad and, quite simply, it's home for me."
About Their Split
The duo split in April 2017 after three years of dating. While none of them has spoken directly about their relationship and split, they have made veiled references to their former relationship.
In October 2017, Rodgers mentioned to ESPN that dating publicly was a hurdle. "When you are living out a relationship in the public eye, it's difficult," he stated. "It has some extra constraints because you have other opinions about your relationship, how it affects your work, and, you know, just some inappropriate connections."
Per The Detroit News, Munn disclosed few personal details about her past affairs. "It wasn't until I had exited that relationship and I was able to look back and realise I had sold two different TV shows while I was in that relationship, which is extremely difficult to do," she disclosed.
Munn's Previous Romantic Affairs
Munn's previous exes include Bryan Greenberg, "One Tree Hill" alum whom she was with for two years before they split in 2009. In 2010, she was spotted with Chris Pine. They dated for about five months but decided to call it quits for unknown reasons.
Munn allegedly had a fling with Justin Timberlake in October 2010. However, this was vehemently denied by his representative.
Two years later, she dated hockey player Brad Richards and this whirlwind romance lasted for two months. A few months later, it was established that she was dating Swedish-American actor Joel Kinnaman. The actress started seeing Rodgers after their break-up.
Is Rodgers Engaged To Shailene Woodley?
The "Big Little Lies" actress, Shailene Woodley, confirmed her and Rodgers's engagement during The Tonight Show, Starring Jimmy Fallon.
"Yes, we are engaged," Woodley admitted after Fallon asked if congratulations were in order. "But for us, it's not new news, you know? So it's kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it, and we're like, 'Yeah, we've been engaged for a while.'"
Woodley gushed about her fiance being a "wonderful" and "incredible human being," although she said she never thought of marrying an NFL star.
"I never thought I'd be engaged with somebody who threw balls for a living," she said. "Like, I never thought as a little girl, I was like, 'Yeah, when I grow up, I'm going to marry someone who throws balls! Yeah!' But he's just so good at it," she concluded.
