Travis Scott, Drake, Live Nation And Others Face $750 Million Lawsuit, For Astroworld Festival Negligence

Travis Scott has definitely had the worst month of his career, over these past two weeks. This comes as 10 people died at his Astroworld Festival, and 300 were treated for injuries, at his Houston-based Astroworld Festival.

Over 100 lawsuits have since been filed, in the aftermath of these tragedies. Now, another huge one has just been filed by one of the most notable attorneys in Houston.

According to TMZ, this is a $750 million lawsuit, filed by 125 fans, who attended Astroworld Festival. They are being represented by Tony Buzbee, the attorney who has been representing Houston Texans Quarterback, Deshaun Watson, in his sexual misconduct massage cases, since March of this year.

This lawsuit states that Travis and other organizers of Astroworld Fest were negligent in planning the concert as well as training security, which was said to lack heavy presence of. This lawsuit plans to cover both physical and mental health injuries, and for the individuals who passed away.

One of the plaintiffs listed, is the family of 21-year-old Axel Acosta, who is said to have been "crushed" by an"incited, unruly and out-of-control crowd with such force that he could no longer breathe."

Attorney Buzbee emphasized that money won't make things completely right. In the end though, the damages that are being desired in this lawsuit, will be a huge step in helping all those affected.

"No amount of money will ever make these Plaintiffs whole; no amount of money can restore human life. But, the damages sought in this case attempts to fix, help, or make up for the harms and losses suffered by these Plaintiffs -- nothing more and nothing less."

This lawsuit has also minimized Travis and Live Nation's claims to have been offering refunds, for the festival. It addressed this, stating that it's "a transparent and grotesque effort of the Defendants to limit their liability, after the fact, to the families of those killed or injured."

Of the fans who was fighting for his life, after Astroworld Fest ended, was 9-year-old Ezra Blount. Blount and his father, Treston, had purchased tickets months ago, as Travis was one of Ezra's favorite artists. At NRG Park, the two stood in the back of the crowd of 50,000 to avoid the crazy energy, but Treston still got stuck in the middle, with Ezra on his shoulders

Treston passed out, as Ezra went on to get trampled, and suffered brain and organ damage. He was eventually transported to a local hospital, where he was in a medically induced coma, and on life support. Ezra's family revealed that he went on to pass away, on November 14.

Despite Travis appearing to be "canceled," on social media, there are plenty of fans who still have his back. His 2018 "Astroworld" album currently stands at number 39, on the Billboard 200 chart.

Travis' "Escape Plan" single, which was released on the day of the festival, has also debuted at number 11, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His "Mafia" single also came out that day, and just received a number 26 debuted. These are all expected to appear on his forthcoming fifth studio album, "Utopia."
