With so many people questioning Jenelle Evans’ return to husband David Eason last month, the former ‘Teen Mom 2’ cast member finally opened up.
The ongoing drama started long before Jenelle announced on Instagram she had left David. She had taken two of her children to Nashville and seemed excited about starting a new life.
In March, Jenelle announced that she had returned to David, and even her fans were disappointed. In an InTouch Weekly interview, Evans is opening up about why she chose to return and what her plans are for the future.
In the interview, Jenelle claims that she was “very unhappy.” She said that she and David were not getting along and had become “mean” toward each other. She told the outlet, “We called each other names and never wanted to spend time together.”
These factors led Jenelle to leave David for a new life in Tennessee, at least for a while. Apparently she got in touch with David after she left and told him exactly what would need to happen for her to come back home.
So, what would need to change to make the marriage work? Jenelle said they would need to work on “preventing an argument before it blows up into something more.” She also claimed that they evaluated their relationship to try to figure out where things went wrong.
Jenelle also seemed to imply that she did not want to walk away from David because she had already invested so much into the relationship. She said they “got married for a reason.”
She also added, “I felt like I gave up on him, but he never gave up on me.” This statement terrified a lot of followers familiar with their history.
Changes that Jenelle says the couple has implemented include boundaries, especially in terms of “cussing, name calling, and [lowering their] tone of voices.” She also says they have both been listening to each other.
Of course, a lot of Jenelle’s followers are not buying it. In fact, some are outright disappointed that Jenelle decided to go back to David. One person commented on the former teen mom’s Instagram, “I’m really sad you are back with him. I’m really sad for those kids.”
Another person commented, “Trying to stay relevant?” This may be a reference to the fact that many people familiar with her story believe Jenelle is trying to get back on television. Since she was fired from Teen Mom, Jenelle has teased the idea of landing her own show. She has been making YouTube and TikTok videos, but no additional news is available about Jenelle’s future career options.
On her recent Q&A video in which she revealed that she and David are back together, Jenelle turned off comments.
