Chris Daughtry’s daughter’s death is NOT being investigated as a homicide, and the District Attorney in the area says it is “irresponsible” right now to label this case murder.
According to the Tennesse District Attorney, the ongoing investigation into the death of Hannah Price is not being labeled a homicide and it is too “premature and irresponsible” to consider at this point. As we reported, the 25-year-old was found dead in her home and suffering “injuries,” according to her mother.
But, it’s unclear how she was injured, and what they might have to do with her passing away.
The 8th District District Attorney in Tennessee, Jared Effler, says, “This is a death investigation and any attempt to classify it as a homicide investigation at this time is premature and irresponsible.”
Chris Daughtry’s Daughter’s Boyfriend Arrested Over The Weekend On ‘Unrelated Matters’
It is shocking, considering Price’s boyfriend was arrested the same weekend and exact charges are not being revealed. But, reports state that the boyfriend was arrested on allegations unrelated to this death. Prosecutors say no one has been arrested in connection with this death investigation.
Now, it should be noted, things could change based on evidence gathered at the scene and the exact cause of death. Investigators are currently conducting an autopsy to determine how Price died, and that may lead to announcing a suspect or even an arrest. According to sources close to the family, detectives told them the case is being investigated as a homicide.
Hannah Prices’ Mother Claims She Suffered ‘Injuries’ Prior To Her Death
As we reported, Daughtry’s wife broke her silence on the tragic death — pointing out Hannah had suffered some sort of “injuries” prior to her death. “My first born. I love you endlessly Hannah. Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we grieve the loss of our daughter Hannah. We are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken,” she wrote on Instagram.
Prior to her death, Chris Daughtry’s daughter dealt with other violent tragedies in her life. The young mother was reportedly shot in the face during a run-in with gang members back in 2018. Hannah underwent surgery and was fitted with a prosthetic eye following the shooting. At the time, Price revealed she was trying to “save a friend” when she was shot.

“I noticed they didn’t have the gun cocked so by the time I noticed they were trying to shoot at him I was trying to run the kid over with my car and I ended up getting shot in the face. I was blind for a little over two weeks and this happened directly after my dad had committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. It was a lot,” she reportedly wrote online.
A GoFundMe account was established to raise money for Hannah’s injuries, showing a brutal photo of the aftermath of her face following the shooting.
