Dawson, who grew up on the Lower East Side of New York City, revealed in a recent interview that she gets most of her exercise in through walking.
She said, “I’m not a big workout-y person … but as a born-and-raised New Yorker, I’ll walk 100 blocks and not even think about it.”
Instead of hitting the gym, Dawson likes to get in her exercise outdoors through hiking and camping.
She explained, “My family used to take me out of the state to go camping and be outdoors. [Even though] I grew up in the concrete jungle, my parents were really thoughtful about getting us access to green spaces.”
This led her to become involved in a new “Get Into Nature” initiative, which she describes as “a three-year, $3 million commitment to connect 150,000 kids to the joys of nature and introduce kids everywhere to the vital role they play as champions for the environment.”

Like many celebrities, Dawson, 42, subscribes to a plant-focused diet. She likes to eat vegetables that are in season to change up her meals every few months.
In the summer, Dawson likes to grab some overnight oats. In the winter, she turns to a bowl of warm oatmeal or the ever-popular avocado toast to start her day off with plenty of fiber from healthy carbs.
Dawson loves vegetables and will either cook up a tasty stir-fry or create a big salad for lunch with whatever ingredients she has on hand.
Her dinner looks similar to lunch, but she is admittedly a big fan of noodles, especially ramen. She loves a punch of flavor in her food and admitted that she uses “a lot of ginger” in her cooking. She added that she likes to “put turmeric in everything” too.
Dawson became very focused on eating a healthy diet after her father’s cancer diagnosis.
She explained that his diagnosis taught her that gut health is not only physical health, but emotional health too, and she makes sure to eat foods with plenty of probiotics like sauerkraut, kimchi, and vegan yogurt to keep herself healthy and fit for her demanding roles.
“Ahsoka” is expected to debut on Disney+ sometime in 2023. It is unclear if she will make an appearance in season 3 of “The Mandalorian” which is scheduled to debut sometime in 2022 along with “Kenobi” and “Andor.”
“The Mandalorian” spin-off show “The Book of Boba Fett” will make its debut on December 29, 2021.
