It seems that there has been a strain between Jill Duggar and her family, the Duggars for years now. For many years, all of the Duggars fans got to watch the family increase over time. Jim Bob Duggar and his wife, Michelle Duggar had a total of 19 kids together. Now, all of the adult children are out of the house and married with their own family’s.
Jill Duggar married Derick Dillard on June 21, 2014. Although the couple was on the spin-off of 19 Kids and Counting, Counting On for a little while, they no longer appear on the show.
Jill and Derick Dillard have two sons together. Although their first son, Israel’s birth was shown on the show, Counting On, their now two-year-old son, Samuel’s birth wasn’t televised.
There isn’t much known about their son, Samuel. Jill was pregnant for him while she and Derick were still on the show.
The first reason fans thought that they didn’t see Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard on the show anymore was because of Derick being fired for his transphobic comment against the star of the reality show, I am Jazz, Jazz Jennings. Although this is a good reason for him to be fired from filming, many of the fans think there is more to it than that.
There is a new theory among fans now. They now think that something bad happened during the emergency C-section Jill had to have when giving birth to Samuel.
While Jill was giving birth to their first son, Israel, she tried a home birth but had to be rushed to the hospital for an emergency C-section. The same thing happened during the birth of their second son, Samuel. Except, Samuel’s birth wasn’t televised. Because of this, fans don’t know much about what happened, if anything.
One thing that fans do know is that baby Samuel spent many weeks in the NICU after he was born. Also, Derick stated that TLC refused to pay the hospital bill for Jill and Derick.
Fans are guessing that there was a falling out between Jill and Derick and the Duggars since Samuel was born. According to a user who commented during the Reddit discussion about this topic, there hasn’t been one picture of little Samuel and his family. There doesn’t seem to be any evidence of the Duggars visiting the hospital where Jill had him either.
Some fans think if this is the case if maybe there was a fight between the family and Jill and Derick because of not filming the birth of Samuel and not getting the money for it. Derick has talked a lot about his and Jill’s lack of money while filming the show. In fact, it seems, according to Derick, he and Jill have volunteered to film on the show many times. Also, according to Derick, Jim Bob hoards a lot of the money he gets from the show. And, if this is true, then it is a possibility that Jill and Derick and the Duggars have a strain in their relationship now because of Samuel’s hospital bills not being paid.
So, was Derick actually fired from the show or did he choose to walk away from it? According to Derick, he and Jill chose to stop filming on their own. And, he said they would have stopped filming sooner than they did but TLC threatened to file a lawsuit against them if they did.
Although fans will probably never know what truly happened, they do know that the Duggars have stopped talking to Jill since she and Derick stopped filming.
@TLC has issues. They begged us not to quit filming, but then didn’t want to hear from us about why we quit. If money is all they care about, then it’s going to catch-up with them—you must care about people. All I’ve got to say is, they better lawyer-up b/c a storm is inevitable.
