'UFC' star Chuck Liddell has entered into a settlement agreement with his ex-wife regarding custody of their children, and it includes being able to install cameras in the family's master bedroom closets. Let us explain...
According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the MMA star and his ex-wife -- Heidi Liddell -- hashed out a custody agreement with each other to co-parent their two children. The filing lays out details of when each person will have custody and other important issues for the kids.
The former couple is sharing their former family residence as a "nesting" area to raise the children, and each one of them will live there while they have the kids. But, the agreement includes one major note, that we have never seen in a settlement agreement...ever. Chuck Liddell and his ex-wife are both allowed to install cameras in their respective closets to monitor what comes in and out.
Chuck Liddell's Agreement With Ex-Wife Includes Cameras In the Closets!
Obviously, there are major trust issues in this split, especially since they will be staying in the same master bedroom during their visits. "(Chuck) shall be entitled to install cameras to the interior of the master closet that records images only, and does not record sound. The other party will "not have access to the master closet, and shall not attempt to gain access at any time." It should be noted, Heidi will have the same rights.
As we said, it's an interesting item to put into an agreement, and it's unclear what will remain in the closets besides...you know...clothes. Also, Chuck is allowed to lock his home office inside the residence and "install cameras on the interior" to record images and not sound.
In the agreement, the 'UFC' star and his agreed to not allow "anyone else to make any negative, disparaging, or derogatory comments (including but not limited to, physical gestures, facial expressions, and/or verbal statements) about the other parent to, or with the hearing of, the minor children. This shall include, but not limited to, family members, friends, and/or any third party in the presence or within the hearing of the minor children."
'UFC' Star Will Share Custody Of Kids With His Ex-Wife
The former couple will share full legal and physical custody of the children.
As we reported, the ex-couple agreed to drop both their dueling restraining orders as a part of this agreement. The 'UFC' star filed for divorce after he was arrested for domestic violence. Following the incident, Chuck issued a statement claiming he was the actual victim in this case and only was booked after she agreed to take the place of his wife.
Both Liddell and his ex-wife made allegations of abuse against each other, with Heidi saying there is a history of violence in the relationship and the MMA star saying his wife might be suffering from mental illness. Either way, for now, they have agreed on dropping the restraining order cases and sharing custody of the kids.
The divorce is ongoing.
