Jessica Simpson is making a comeback to the music scene ― at least that's what her die-hard fans think!
In a recent post, Simpson gave her fans a MAJOR tease when she uploaded a still from what looked like a music video. In the photo, Simpson had her head bowed as she held on to a microphone.
Raising the curiosity level, the "Dukes of Hazzard" star simply captioned the post, "11.11," sending fans down a rabbit hole of theories!
Of course, it didn't take long for fans to draw several speculations and hints from the vague caption. Many suggested that since it's been 11 years since Simpson's last album, something was in the works. One user insinuated, "11 years ago was her last album, 11/11 suits you."
The "I Wanna Love You Forever" crooner's last project was the Christmas album, "Happy Christmas," which she released in November 2010.
Fans Go Crazy Over Jessica Simpson's Fictional New Album
Soon enough, the comments began pouring in with one fan writing, "WAIT Jess I’m freaking out new music?????????????? " while another added, "can’t believe it’s been 11 years! That is crazy…I can’t wait to hear her new music."
One excited fan gushed, "Oh my god!! The queen is coming," while another declared, "YES!! Praying for a new album!!"
The reaction from fans was the same across the board, with many expressing their wish that the post is an indication of new music. Unfortunately, Simpson didn't respond to any of the comments, so we can only wait to see what time would reveal.
About Simpson's Music Career
Before becoming the fashion entrepreneur and mogul that we are more familiar with today, Simpson ruled the music scene in the early 2000s competing with the likes of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
Her debut album, "Sweet Kisses," was released in November 1999 and sold a whopping four million copies. It was soon followed by "Irresistible" in 2001.
However, her most successful project, "In The Skin," was released in 2003. The album broke sales records and chart positions of the two previous albums, establishing Simpson as a force to reckon with.
But just at the peak of her music career, her relationship and subsequent marriage to Nick Lachey became the focus, and her artistry took the backseat.
When the former couple divorced in 2006, Simpson's music career tanked badly, and it reflected in how her fifth studio album, "A Public Affair," was poorly received, selling only 500,000 copies.

Simpson didn't give up and released another album in 2008 titled "Do You Know," this time transitioning into country music. But, unfortunately, it didn't perform greatly.
Her last album to date, "Happy Christmas," was released in 2010 before she took a long hiatus from the game. Simpson made a temporary comeback in 2020 when she released six new songs alongside her memoir, "Open Book," leaving fans thirsty for her eighth studio album.
