Dave Portnoy is the 44-year-old founder of a US-based pop and culture blog called Barstool Sports. This digital media company was founded in 2003 and started as a print publication before its launch into the digital world in 2007.

The company produces podcasts, online articles, and videos and is the popular "Call her Daddy" podcast owner until Spotify bought it from them.

Portnoy has been in the public eye due to his controversial and blunt takes on several issues. His most recent scandal centers around his personal life, and it involves allegations of his sexual encounter with some female partners.

In light of this, there is an increased interest in Portnoy's romantic relationships, especially his relationship with his ex-wife.

Barstool Sport's transition from a print publication to an online-only platform made Portnoy even more popular than he already was.

He hosts several podcasts like "The Dave Portnoy Show With Eddie & Co." with his cohost, a 19-year-old influencer named Josh Richards.

According to The Sun, Portnoy got engaged to his now ex-wife Renee Satterthwaite in 2008, and the two got married a year later. Satterthwaite changed her name to Renee Portnoy, and for over nine years in their marriage, she helped her husband expand his business online.

Her efforts in his business earned her the name "First Lady of Barstool Nation" by fans. The couple stayed married till 2017 then split up when Portnoy's affair with Jordyn Hamilton became public knowledge.

Portnoy didn't catch a break after his marriage ended, as he dove headfirst into work and even went more political with his topics and interviews with some political figures.

This change brought in mixed reactions from fans, and he was praised by his die-hards, who thought he could do no wrong, while other critics were strongly tilting towards the negative.

Portnoy expressed just how he felt about those comments in an interview reported by MSN. "Being non-PC and not being woke… that's not political," he said. "Both the extreme rights and lefts are f*cking maniacs. Now the extreme left is the super woke, so that's where you get the PC stuff from. But there's some stuff on the right where I'm like whoa you don't need to be that [anti] PC, I don't need the f*cking Nazi flag flying around."

In more recent news, Portnoy is currently the target of some very damaging sexual misconduct claims that could ruin his image and test just how much his fans can root for him.

An article by Insider about Portnoy's general profile changed focus in the months before publishing it.

It came out in early November, and three women had unsavory things to say about their sexual relationships with Portnoy in the piece. They said it "turned into frightening and humiliating experiences."

One woman named Madison was 20 years old and shared that she visited Portnoy's home after a while of talking, and he performed acts like filming and choking her during sex without her consent. She allegedly informed him that it was "too much," but Portnoy ignored her and kept going.

Allison was the second woman in the article and claimed that she was 19 in July 2020 when she had "aggressive" sex with the presenter. "He leaned in and started kissing me, and I didn't know what to do at that point," she said. "We went upstairs, and he was really aggressive and I didn't know what to do and we had sex and that was it and he kicked me out. I just felt very preyed on."

When the article was published, and Portnoy was coming under fire because of it, he released a statement on Twitter denying any truth in that matter.

He posted videos captioned "My Response To The Business Insider Hit Piece That Has Been 8 Months In The Making."

In the videos, Portnoy said, "I've never done anything weird with a girl, ever. Never anything remotely non-consensual. I swear to God on my life, I am telling the truth. This reporter had an agenda... it's f**king scary," he continued.

"Cancel culture has been coming for me for decades, this is just the next iteration. The woke cancel culture wants to cancel me... I'm scared now." It's important to note that this is not the first scandal involving sex that the reporter has been involved in but considering the magnitude, it might have the most damage on his career.
