Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy is continuing to fire shots at Roger Goodell after the NFL commissioner made it clear he didn't want to honor a prize won by Portnoy during an NFL-sponsored auction for charity. The outspoken blogger continued his unrelenting attack Saturday morning, days after the NFL announced he would not be getting to watch "Monday Night Football" with the commish in his basement in Bronxville, N.Y.

"Yo
@nflcommish
think I can get that 250k back or nah dog? Scumbag," Portnoy tweeted at Goodell.

Portnoy, who has also been mixing it up with Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, did not get a response from the NFL commish.

Goodell's basement became a hot-ticket item after it was showcased during the 2020 NFL Draft when the commissioner hosted the event from his man cave. During the charity, Portnoy won the chance to hang with Goodell by dropping $250,000. The winning bid also included tickets to a regular-season game.

Unfortunately, the NFL said Portnoy failed a background check due to his past incidents with the organization, including falsification of credentials and a 2015 arrest for trespassing -- all of which has been heavily covered on Barstool Sports and mainstream media.

NFL VP of Communications Brian McCarthy told SBJ that:

"He was the highest bidder, but the bid was contingent upon a background check. So he consented to the background check, and it came back and he heard from the NFL today that he did not pass the background check. He will not be the winner."

After the news broke, Portnoy held an emergency press conference on Instagram:

"Two-hundred and fifty grand to charity, I won it fair and square, and they say no ... Why? Because they’re afraid of me. They’re afraid of the brain, and they’re not going to have some fun with it. So, f--k you, Roger Goodell. By the way, don’t do charities and let the guy win it who you don’t want to win it. That’s on you.”
