Lisa Vanderpump was shocked to learn that her Vanderpump Rules co-stars, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz, weren’t really married during production on the Bravo reality series last year.
After three years of what they thought was marriage, Maloney and Schwartz learned that due to a paperwork mishap, they weren’t actually legally married and no one was more surprised than Vanderpump. After all, it was Vanderpump who was chosen to officiate the couple’s rustic wedding in Northern California in August 2016.
In a sneak peek at the upcoming episode of Vanderpump Rules, which will air on Bravo next Tuesday night, Vanderpump is seen in shock after learning Maloney and Schwartz weren’t married from their co-star, Stassi Schroeder.
“What are you talking about?” Vanderpump exclaimed during her chat with Schroeder.
“I know!” Schroeder replied.
Then, during a scene filmed one day later, Vanderpump is seen confronting Maloney about the issue, and asking if she seriously forgot to file her and Schwartz’s marriage license after they wed.
After informing Maloney that she should scrub the “Schwartz” part off of her name card during one of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s wedding-related events, Vanderpump was seen questioning Schwartz’s intentions in a cast confessional.
“Is this a subconscious decision that Tom didn’t post the letter because he has these commitment issues? That is some kind of subliminal thing that he never, ever follows through,” she notes.
Vanderpump was clearly frustrated by Schwartz’s negligence but in his own confessional, Schwartz doesn’t think she can be “that mad.”
As the sneak peek at next week’s Vanderpump Rules continued, Vanderpump was seen confronting Schwartz to his face about his inability to follow through with his marriage duties and pointed out that she did a lot for him and Maloney.
“You had one job. I did everything. I wrote the vows and I came down there and married you. You cannot sweep everything under the rug!” she told him.
“I don’t sweep everything,” Schwartz insisted as his wife, Maloney, stood at his side.
“No, but you do,” Vanderpump replied.
After discovering that they weren’t legally married during production on season eight of Vanderpump Rules last year, Maloney and Schwartz traveled to Las Vegas with their co-stars, where they tied the knot for a second time at Caesar’s Palace, where Vanderpump owns a restaurant. Since then, Maloney has been facing a number of pregnancy rumors but has not yet announced that she and Schwartz are expecting.
To see more of Maloney, Schwartz, and their co-stars, tune into Vanderpump Rules on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
