Floyd Mayweather's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his three children, was found dead at her home Monday night just outside Los Angeles.

40-year-old Josie Harris was pronounced dead after being discovered in a car outside her home in Valencia, CA, according to TMZ Sports.

Sheriff's deputies had been called to the home just after 9:30 PM and pronounced Harris dead at the scene. As for now, officials are handling the case as a death investigation and not considering Harris' death a homicide.

Mayweather and Harris have three children together, sons Koraun and Zion along with 16-year-old daughter Jirah.

Although they have children together, Mayweather and Harris had virtually no relationship as the champion boxer was sentenced to 90 days in jail back in 2010 after he was convicted of domestic battery.

Harris claims she was attacked by Mayweather on 6 different occasions, but back in September, 2010 the boxer snuck into her home while she slept and delivered an especially vicious attack that included pulling Harris by the hair and kicking her on the ground.

A Volatile Relationship

Mayweather's oldest son, Koraun, was able to sneak out of the house and get the attention of a security guard at the nearby guard gate, who called police.

The drama between Harris and Mayweather continued years later when she slapped the boxer with a $20 million defamation suit. Mayweather was trying to change his public image following his arrest, and did an interview with Katie Couric in 2015 where he claimed Harris was on drugs the night he attacked her.

Harris immediately filed the lawsuit, claiming defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Where's Floyd?

Harris has also done multiple interviews about the incident, and used it to empower her later in life.

"I was a battered woman," Harris told USA Today years ago in an interview.

She continued, "I felt embarrassed about saying I was a battered woman. I felt shame. I felt like it was my fault. What did I do? I didn't understand what a battered woman was at that time. Now I know I was in a very dysfunctional, hostile relationship and a victim of domestic violence."

Floyd Mayweather has not yet commented on the death of Josie Harris, as the boxer is currently vacationing in Europe. It's unclear if he will return home to handle family business.
