There’s no secret, Amanda Bynes has made her return to the world with some powerful life changes and we are all on the fence. Half of us are thinking that this may be a change for the better and the other half are expecting things to take a turn for the worse.
To catch you up, Bynes has recently returned to social media with a face tattoo, fiancé, a new clothing line, a paparazzi accusation, and has even posted a video apologizing for that one time she started calling her fans ugly on Twitter.
Though her newest posts are still a bit cringeworthy at the very least they have been coherent. Her latest shouts out Drake for producing two of her current favorite songs ‘Money in the Grave’ and ‘Yes Indeed’, captioned under a screenshot from the “Hotline Bling” rappers post from 29 weeks ago. Which makes you think, “was it the Instagram algorithm that put that post on her feed or . . .”
Amanda has since deleted the post. This caption comes a little over seven years since her series of Drake tweets.

If I can take you back to 2013 and the Twitter account of Ms. Bynes, it is easy to remind you of the very first NSFW Tweet from the “All That” starlet when she not-so-subtly posted, “I want @drake to murder my vagina”.
While this forward Tweet sparked a whole series of Drake posts and other equally bizarre tweets, Amanda has since explained that she was serious but not really THAT serious. In an interview on ‘The Lowdown’ she goes as far as to say “I was serious, but I was also on drugs. So that was my way of saying, like, ‘Let’s do it, man.’ But I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious.”
Back in September 2019, after suffering a relapse, Amanda recommitted herself to her sobriety and moved into a sober living group home. Before relapsing, Bynes celebrated three years of sobriety following a decade of mental health battles and drug addictions.
According to an ET source, Bynes met her 28-year-old fiancé Paul Michael while living in the facility. They have known each other for a little over two months. However, the actress cannot legally marry without the consent of her mother, Lynn.
Amanda is currently in a conservatorship according to her Instagram posts. This means her parents have assumed responsibility for her healthcare and financial estate due to her inability to control her drug abuse. The Conservatorship has been in and out of the California probate courts since 2013.
While Bynes may believe she is sober enough to reassume the control of her life, California courts have come to a very different conclusion. Either way, Amanda has her fans by her side and in her corner.
