'Tiger King 2' star Joe Exotic has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, and the Netflix star is begging to be released from prison to receive proper treatment.
Joe Exotic revealed the shocking diagnosis in a hand-written letter posted by his social media team on Instagram. As you know, Exotic is still behind bars, serving out a 22-year prison sentence. In the note, the 'Tiger King' star says doctors inside the prison called him into a room and told him the bad news.
Unfortunately, Joe is forced to undergo treatment for the disease in a prison hospital and is asking the public to back his bid to be released to enjoy what life he has left with loved ones. Plus, he is hoping to receive treatment on the outside.
Joe Exotic: Let Me Live Out My Life With Loved Ones!
"Everyone, It is with a sad face that I have to tell you the doctors called me in today to break the news that my prostate biopsy came back with aggressive cancer, I am still waiting on the results from other tests as well," Joe wrote.
He continued, "Right now I don’t want anyone’s pity and I’m sure Carole Will have her own party over this! What I need is the world to be my voice to be released, they have the proof I DID NOT DO THIS!"
The 'Tiger King' star is pushing the judge and prosecutors in his case, to allow him early release to receive treatment for cancer. " "There is no reason for the district attorney to drag this out, So I can go home and get treatment on my own or enjoy what life I have left with my loved ones! Say a prayer everyone & be my voice," he concluded.
As you know, Joe Exotic has previously discussed the prostate issues, claiming cancer cells might have spread to his pelvis and stomach. The Netflix star claims he will refuse medical treatment inside the prison and says he is "ready to die."
'Tiger King' Star Is In Extreme Pain Following Cancer Diagnosis
"I have been waiting for a colonoscopy and endoscopy since October. Medical treatment in a prison is worse than at any humane society for dogs," he told The Sun. Adding, he is currently experiencing pain in his hip and pelvis. The tests results released by exotic come after he underwent a biopsy for his prostate and bladder, a colonoscopy, and an endoscopy with a specialist.
The prison has approved testing to verify what stage it is in,” Joe said a few months back. Adding, "My body is tired, I have lost a tremendous amount of weight, the mouth sores are out of control, I throw up more than I eat. This is crazy how they put people in here and just let you die."
He continued, "The things that I’ve seen and the dead people I’ve seen wheeled out of here is outrageous and it’s time that our president and our politicians hear the truth."
At this point, it's unclear if Joe will be able to receive treatment on the outside.
