Avril Lavigne signs a new deal!

The Canadian singer, 37, took to Instagram on Wednesday, November 3, and shared some big news with her fans. She has signed to Travis Barker's label, DTA Records, making things official by signing all the paperwork, as seen in the post.

"Let’s f--ck sh--t up! Just signed a record contract with Travis Barker’s record label DTA Records! Should I drop my first single next week ?" Lavigne captioned the post.

The first photo showed the "Complicated" singer and the Blink-182 drummer, 45, posing side by side with their faces covered in icing. Lavigne flashed two middle fingers to the camera. In the second image, the songstress was snapped signing her new contract with Barker standing behind her. A swipe to right showed them popping Champagne.

Barker and Lavigne threw cakes at each other in the fourth slide, while the following snap showed them holding the cakes. In the next shot, the "Sk8er Boi" hitmaker was seen holding a champagne bottle to the camera as she leaned forward, sticking her tongue out. Big letter balloons that say "DTA" and "Avril" were seen in the last picture.

A Warm Welcome

Barker also took to his social media account and announced the new deal. He uploaded an Instagram Boomerang of himself and Lavigne popping champagne.

"Welcome to @dtarecords @avrillavigne !" the father of two captioned the post.

Barker's followers were also thrilled by the news.

"Let’s go Avril!!!!!!!! You will always be my favorite!!!!!!" one commented.

"Queen Lavigne come back, hell yeah," wrote a second fan.

"My youth is coming Alive you guys! Bring back the famous shirts, belt buckles & chucks," a third comment read.

Making A Big Comeback

In a report by KIISFM, Lavigne has been working hard on her career this year. Recently, she teamed up with Willow Smith, 21, for a new music collaboration featuring Barker in their song, "G R O W."

Last month, MTV posted a snippet of their music video on their Instagram page, writing: "I just need to watch the music video premiere of “G R O W” by @willowsmith, @avrillavigne ft. @travisbarker, out right now & all day long on MTV Live + MTVU! ? ?"

The clip showed Lavigne and Smith transforming into giants as they towered over building set-pieces as they sang.

Lavigne will also be touring in 2022 around the UK and Europe. Initially, she postponed the schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Kerrang, Lavigne will begin touring in February and March next year for a total of 19 shows.

“F--ck yeah, I’m going on tour!” Avril announced on Instagram, along with a poster photo containing the dates and venues. ​“Here are the Europe/UK dates. ?????"
