Kelly Ripa Talks Pearl Necklaces And Mustard Baths With Ryan Seacrest on 'LIVE'

This morning on "LIVE with Kelly and Ryan", Kelly Ripa discovered that Ryan Seacrest was hiding a long, pearl necklace under his shirt during the show. This was moments after he confessed to taking a mustard bath the night before, which caused him to miss the World Series! There were a lot of hilarious elements during the segment, so let's break them down:

Ryan blames this Therapeutic Bath Salt Blend for missing the World Series last night. He claims that after soaking in the essential oils he promptly passed out in the tub and slept right through epic Atlanta Braves' win! He briefly held a picture up to the camera of a selfie he had taken pre-bath nap, which showed him smiling in the foreground, and the powered mustard seed floating atop his bath water.

He highly recommended the relaxing concoction, although he admitted to leaving the water in the tub overnight (who does that??), which caused yellow staining in his bathtub. So word to the wise, if you go out and purchase Dr. Singha's Mustard Bath, please remember to drain your tub afterwards - and perhaps cancel all your plans for the night!

Funny enough their first guest, Actress Paula Patton, jumped right into the conversation saying she too had also recently taken a mustard bath! She agreed that its relaxation powers were powerful, and although she didn't sleep through the World Series because it, she agreed that napping ensued shortly after. She also gave a pro-tip, saying you're supposed to take a cold shower directly after using. The hosts also chatted with Patton about her new TV series “Sacrifice”, a spinoff of the BET+ original movie.

Before Ryan revealed his necklace, he was talking about how some athletes wear good luck charms during their games. Specifically he was referring to Joc Pederson's pearls. Joc has been spotted sporting the string during games this postseason, and it seems to have brought him tons of success. Ryan explained that he could never pull it off because of his sensitive skin, but then Kelly Ripa noticed something bulging beneath his shirt. She walked over and began tugging at his collar, to which Ryan admitted he too had on a pearly strand. Ryan kept the necklace on until the next commercial break, but talk of it and his bath didn't stop there...

Throughout the rest of the show, mustard baths and pearl necklaces were the running joke. Paula Patton managed to keep working it into the conversation between talk about her show "Sacrifice", and the original 1968 movie "Rosemary's Baby" with Kelly. Improvisational hip-hop comedy musical group, Freestyle Love Supreme, even worked it into their song. Both Ryan  and Kelly tried joining in on the musical segment by rapping about pearls and mustard, which had everyone on set in stitches. It was a hilarious morning for everyone on the show and for those watching at home.
