Ryan Seacrest can officially add to his never-ending resume with his latest kitchen Zoom win. The 45-year-old “American Idol” host and one half to Kelly Ripa’s “Live! With Kelly and Ryan” morning series today updated his Instagram with a throwback to one year ago, with the photo showing just how far he’s come – pandemic-style. Ryan, whose sense of humor comes off-the-bat as his Instagram bio introduces him as “taller in person,” was showing fans how he’s upped his video chat game – check it out below.
Scroll for the photo. Ryan, making 2020 headlines for ending 180 days of video streaming on “Live!” before the pandemic went second wave, had updated for his 5.1 million followers with a low-key and casual home kitchen shot.
The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” producer, whose career gigs just don’t seem to end, posted a photo showing him seated at a giant iMac, with a stack of books and a wooden easel seen in front of him. It was focus from Ryan, but the humor was there in the caption.
Snapped solo and in a black t-shirt and baseball cap, Ryan was 100% concentrating on his screen and not looking too sure of himself. The “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” host wrote: “#tbt to March 22, 2020. Learning this new thing called Zoom. Adding 1 year of IT experience to my resume.
“Your resume definitely needed this!!” a fan quickly joked, with another spotting the home setup as they wrote: “It’s the stacks of books for me ?.” See more photos below.
Ryan’s literature, which included a book on French luxury designer Yves Saint Laurent, seems to be bringing in the fans. Likewise, the easel, with one user responding: “Channeling your inner Mia with your easel?.”
Ryan, whose pandemic has included a headline-making time off “LIVE!” as he awaited the results of a COVID test last year, has, per his words, been busier than ever.
Speaking of “Idol,” he said: “There were also a lot of requests to do extra specials and things for our partners (such as hosting the successful “Disney Family Sing Along” programs).”

The end of March brought mom of three Kelly taking some time off the show she’s hosted since 2001, with Ryan joined by no less than three guest co-hosts including Maria Menounos and Ali Wentworth. Kelly last year big-time gushed over her hunky co-host, telling Parade:
“We’ve been friends for two decades, and I’ve got to tell you he is really such a draw to me there. I just love working with him so much. He makes every day feel like I’m not working and that’s when you know you have a great working relationship.”
