La La Anthony is done with the single label and ready to mingle!
Moving on from past relationships is probably one of the most challenging things to do, but life must go on eventually.
The TV personality recently opened up to ET about the qualities her new man must possess. These characteristics are quite different from Carmelo Anthony, her estranged husband.
La La Anthony Is Enjoying A Season Of Self-Love
This year may not have gone La La's way in terms of her marriage, but the "Power" star isn't dwelling on the past as she continues to charge forward towards happiness.
During the launch party for her first-time collection with the fashion brand, PrettyLittleThing, the 39-year-old got candid about her plans with the news outlet.
Rather than focusing on the needs of others as she typically did, the former MTV VJ stated that the season of self-love was upon her.
The entertainer is only interested in doing the things that bring her joy, including being the best mom ever to her precious teenage son, Kiyan.
As much as she adores the 14-year-old, the proud mother wouldn't be recruiting his help in search of a new man as Kiyan was "too protective."
The teenager's defensive nature was quite understandable given his parents' emotional martial experience. While infidelity rumors were swirling around in 2017, La La and Carmelo separated but later reconciled in 2018.
However, this brief romance period lasted until June 2021, when the "BH90210" star filed for divorce. At the time, the TV personality quoted "irreconcilable differences" for the end of her 11-year marriage.
The "Power" Star Wants Chill And Fun But Not Marriage
Although La La is bathing in the glow of her self-love season, the entertainer is open to new adventures in the romance section.
The 39-year-old admitted that she wanted someone similar to her personality, which meant the lucky man must be "chill and easy."
The mother-of-one wished to be with a person that could have a good time as fun and laughter are a big part of the media personality's life.
Despite her interest in dating, the "La La's Full Court Life" star wasn't interested in getting married. The "Love Playbook" author announced her disinterest during the "Angie Martinez Show" appearance in October.
La La explained that after the emotional turmoil she experienced during her public separation from the NBA star, the entertainer believed it was impossible to get hitched again.
Life After The "BMF" Star's Heartbreaking Divorce
Last month, The Blast shared details about La La's new life and what led to her heartbreaking separation from the ten-time NBA All-Star.
Although the divorce was officially filed this year, the TV personality confessed on "Angie Martinez Show" that the couple's marriage had ended years ago.
The love between the former spouses began crumbling after allegations of Carmelo's infidelity came to light. The 39-year-old explained that this period was emotionally exhausting as it was a public scandal.
The mother-of-one appeared to be the only person surprised by the unfortunate incident as a lawyer once said, "Well, he's a basketball player—what did you expect?'"
Despite the athlete's betrayal, the entertainer has chosen to heal rather than let the past destroy her mental health.
La La stated that there was no bad blood between the former couple, but their relationship was strictly limited to being co-parents.
