Ellis Has Three Children

From what fans can see, Ellis definitely does not share the same ideals about children as his on-screen self.

He is blessed with three children from his previous relationships. Express UK reported that the actor had his first child with his ex-lover, Estelle Morgan, also a Welsh actor like himself.

Ellis has put his past relationships behind and is now married to a writer for a change, Meaghan Oppenheimer. Their engagement was made public in 2017 after Oppenheimer posted a picture of her ring on Instagram.

The couple then got married in 2019, and Ellis posted several Instagram photos confirming the ceremony, one with the caption "my new wife." The couple now resides in Los Angeles and, from what their fans are saying, seem to be very happy together.

Ellis On Not Seeing His Children

Ellis reportedly has several issues with his relationship with his children. According to Digital Spy, the star revealed that he had been away from his children for seven whole months during the lockdown.

He said, "There is a part of you that isn't there when they're not around … I don't ever really want to be in that headspace ever again. Trying to remain positive while the world is falling apart and having your children away from you and not knowing you will see them was just … yeah."

Ellis, however, appeared to have tried his best to be as close to his kids as possible. The Guardian revealed that he opened up to them about spending a huge amount of money on tickets going to and fro from the US to the UK to visit his kids.

Lucifer And Trixie On The Show Together

Lucifer held an entirely different view on children from Ellis; well, until he met Trixie. The show revealed that he was very upset with his father (God) for leaving him in Hell after he challenged and rose against him.

He was responsible for punishing the damned and made it a lifelong goal to go contrary to his father's wishes. Many believed that his stance on kids was influenced by the abandonment he dealt with throughout the show.

It, therefore, surprised fans when he met and got acquainted with Trixie Espinoza, Chloe Decker's daughter, following her suspension after she dealt with a bully.

The duo developed a bond as the show went on, and Lucifer cringed at any form of affection she showed him. However, his attitude toward her started to change positively. They even took part in an investigation which, in the end, landed Trixie in the school of her dreams.

Tom Ellis' Next Film Is a Rom-Com

Tom Ellis has put Lucifer on a break and is starring in the new romantic comedy "Players," a Netflix Original with "Jane The Virgin" lead actress, Gina Rodrigues.

The actor confirmed this with a photo he posted on Instagram on July 19th, 2021, in which he captioned "just driving to work" and shared that he was "excited to be filming" for the movie.

The plot summary of "Players" follows Mack, a sportswriter in Chicago who has for a long time been planning successful hook-up dramas with her best friend Adam and other people. She, however, fell for one of the targets, and they all had to know what it took to play for keeps as opposed to simply scoring.

Many fans believe that a 2021 airing is unlikely but hope for a 2022 release as they can't wait to see Ellis again on the big screens.
