For over a decade, Angelina Jolie has dominated Hollywood with her versatile performances, which has enabled the entertainer to become one of the industry's greatest icons.

While most fans were lovers of some of the 46-year-old's wide range of movie characters, the actress's children were more interested in her latest Marvel movie, "Eternals."

During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the Oscar winner dropped the shocking revelation that her six kids preferred her portrayal of the warrior Thena in the new Marvel film, affirming that it felt like her. Jolie jovially explained:

"Now, they haven't seen many of my films, but I thought that was really interesting. But then thinking of all the different things of her I'm not sure what that says about how my children see me."

Nonetheless, the mother-of-six was concerned about her children's views about her personality, given the differences between herself and the Marvel character.

"The Tourist" star may be the only person with opposing views as ChloƩ Zhao, the "Eternals'" director, also praised the 46-year-old for her exceptional performance.

The director stated that the three-time Golden Globe Award winner brought Thena's femininity to life by creating a strong woman who wasn't afraid to need a man's help.

This unique character marked Jolie's first Superhero role, and the "Tomb Raider" star confessed that she never once dreamt of being a part of Marvel's world at the age of 46.

With four directorial credits under her belt, it wasn't a surprise that Jolie played a significant role in bringing the "Eternals" to life.

According to the movie's director, the "Maleficent" star gave the audience a special treat by allowing her vulnerable sides to be filmed. This would enable viewers to relate better to her character's struggles. 

The 46-year-old also helped ease the tension on set, especially when the cast was required to stay back to reshoot the movie scenes. 

As a movie producer, the mother-of-six understood the inner workings of making a movie and supported the crew to the best of her abilities.
