It has been days since the tragic accident on the set of Alec Baldwin's new movie "Rust," left the director injured but ended the cinematographer's life.
Now a 'fistfight' of words has erupted between the actor's daughter Ireland Baldwin and the infamous conservative author Candace Owens.
Ireland clapped back at Owens on Instagram after the Trump supporter made a controversial tweet about her father's accidental shooting and went as far as regarding the unfortunate incident as "Poetic Justice."
An Instagram SmackDown
As reported by HollywoodLife, on October 25, the internet was turned into a sea of fire as Alec's daughter and Owens made their distaste for each other known in a flurry of words on their Instagram stories.
The fight began with the political commentator's tweet about the "Beetlejuice" star's situation. The 32-year-old indicated that the accident could be compared to "poetic justice" due to the actor's past views about Donald Trump and his supporters.
In response, Ireland came to her father's support by sharing Owens's picture on her IG story alongside a message that read:
"You are the most disgusting, hateful, cancerous human being I've ever come across."
The "Grudge Match" actress continued by stating the conservative author should be ashamed of her attitude towards the late cinematographer. In her words,
"Regardless of your foul opinions most of the time, the fact that you would disrespect the life of a woman who was accidentally and tragically killed…Shame on you."
The 26-year-old also shared a screenshot of the Trump supporter's tweet and wrote beneath it that she would be taking time off social media as she couldn't "breathe the same air" with Owens.
More Clap Backs
The model also shared more messages where she expressed her anger towards the "Candace" host for hurting others with her insensitive tweet about a tragic incident she was ignorant about.
Not known for sparring the rod, the activist took to her IG story to clap back at Alec's daughter for blowing up her private chat (DMs) because she couldn't sympathize with Ireland's "psychopathic father."
The 32-year-old clarified that her heart was with the victim but not the actor, whom she described as a "Hollywood Predator." After several back-and-forth comments, the women finally called a truce to their online feud.
They both shared images of their last DMs and wished themselves a "peaceful evening." Owens has also taken down her tweet, signaling an end to the online battle.
The Baldwins' Reaction To The Accident
After the tragedy occurred on the "Rust" set, The Blast reported the 26-year-old actress sent her condolences to the family of the late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in a heartfelt message on Instagram.
Ireland also sent prayers to Joel Souza, the injured director, and wished she could have been there to hug her father.
The 63-year-old actor released a similar statement on Twitter, in which he expressed his profound grief over the accident.
The Hollywood sensation stated that he was fully cooperating with authorities to unravel the mystery behind the incident. He was also giving his full support to Halyna's husband and son.
