The two have also been highly awarded for it. Isaac won a Golden Globe award for Best Actor for his performance in the miniseries "Show Me A Hero," while Chastain won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film "Zero Dark Thirty."

Isaac's role was one of a businessman, Abel Morales, whose company faced obstacles due to interference by thieving criminals. Chastain was cast as Anna Morales, his wife, who hid money from the company to benefit their family.

They also starred in the HBO miniseries "Scenes From A Marriage," released in 2021, leaving fans in awe of their raw talent and beautiful delivery. The show featured Isaac and Chastain as the lead actors and gave viewers the sense of a married American couple.

With only five intense episodes, the plot followed Mira Phillips and Jonathan Levy, who faced serious issues concerning their relationship. Fans and film critics highly praised the series and its casting.

There had been several rumors about the reality of the duo's relationship as their bond was noticed on several occasions on the red carpet.

At the first premier of "Scenes From a Marriage," fans could not get enough of the red carpet slow-motion video, which showed Isaac reaching for a kiss that was blocked by Chastain's arm.

Fans believed that this red carpet moment was not as embarrassing as it normally would have been because of the actors' long-term friendship, as USA Today reported that their friendship stretches back to their college days.

In the report, Chastain said, "We're acting, but also, Oscar and I have been friends. We went to college together, so we've been friends more than half of our lives, we know so much about each other. We know how to make each other laugh."

The seemingly intimate moment shared between the two long-time friends at the "Scenes From a Marriage" premiere on September 4 was all over the internet, and fans could not stop talking about the clip.

Chastain opened up recently about it in an interview with THR. "I'm looking straight ahead and he looks over at me,... he just goes to give me a peck on my elbow, and at the same time, I'm going to give him a hug. So all of a sudden, his face ends up in my armpit." She explained.

She expressed that the red carpet moment was not very intimate in reality. In her words, "Let me just say though, this is a slow-motion video, and everybody is super sexy in slow motion."
