Shy, wide-eyed Victoria Fuller has surprised Bachelor audiences from week one with her candid take on what it feels like to be a contestant on the show, admitting her lack of confidence and feelings for the star, Peter Weber, early on. This week, the drama soared to new heights on her one-on-one date with Peter, where they attended a concert for Victoria’s ex, Chase Rice, unbeknownst to Peter at the time. However, her honesty with him after the performance showed that she will likely go far.
When we first met Victoria F, she gave us a refreshingly honest view of living in the Bachelor Mansion. “They’re all so pretty,” she lamented about her competition. And it’s no wonder she felt so overwhelmed–drama started night one, and has escalated ever since.
That’s why, during the group date challenge during which the girls had to walk the runway for trendy clothing brand Revolve, we all cheered her on: Victoria was open about how nervous she was to show off in front of an audience, but she put her fears aside and went bold during the challenge, coming in second place.
Victoria F managed to avoid a lot of the drama going on this season (such as “Champagne Gate” and the return of Hannah Brown). However, she didn’t stay lucky for long: On her one-on-one date with Peter to amusement park Cedar Point turned sour when they walked in on a country music concert. The performer was none other than Chase Rice, Victoria’s ex, whom she broke up with to go on the show, and who even tried to convince her not to compete.
Victoria faced her fears once again and confessed to Peter, who had loved the concert and even had a chat with Chase afterward, that the two had dated. Although Peter seemed a little taken aback at first, he soon realized that this sort of thing is bound to happen–after all, his own ex Hannah had interrupted one of his dates just an episode before! On top of that, Peter told Victoria that he was proud of her for being so honest with him, and that he appreciated her candor. And judging by the fact that he gave her a rose, and by how much he gushed about their date as a whole, he must be very into Victoria.
So, the quiet, reserved Victoria F. has quickly risen to the front of the pack, to everyone’s surprise and delight. But will she win despite the remaining sixteen women? We don’t know for sure, but it looks like she does make it pretty far: Bachelor contestants are required to abandon social media for their time on the show, and Victoria’s Instagram account has no posts between August and November of 2019, which is around the time the filming wrapped. It also looks like Victoria F is “here for the right reasons,” as she’s managed to avoid a lot of drama in the Mansion and told Peter that the reason she broke up with Chase was because of his lifestyle–presumably, she wants something more stable than the life that a touring musician could provide.
