New Beyonce Music In Biopic of Venus & Serena, 'King Richard'

There's certainly a lot to unpack here, so let's get going! How can a biopic of Venus & Serena Williams star Will Smith? Well, Hollywood's casting is all over the place trying to make sure that they meet the diversity quota that the Academy is asking for these days! In this case though, the story is set to be centered around Venus and Serena's father Richard Williams. That's why Will landed the starring role in the film. Beyonce who is presumably friendly with the Williams sisters agreed to record a song for the film!
Life Outside The Glitz & Glamour
Pretty much an entire generation has grown up knowing the Williams' sisters. With that said, it's pretty amazing to think both of them are still active in the pro circuit even though both sisters are over 40. The story is not only going to center around their father, but the humble upbringing that the sisters had in Compton. In the trailer we can see Will Smith in full character as Richard Williams having an altercation with a social worker who's questioning his parenting skills. Defiantly the movie aims to tell the untold side of the Venus & Serena story!
Beyonce's Vocals Make Take Everything Over The Top
The movie is certainly trying to tell a powerful story about characters that were mentioned before are part of pop culture these days, and have been for decades for what they've done on the court. That being said, this movie even if it wasn't about Venus and Serena could very well be put over the top with Beyonce's feature song "Be Alive." The song not only features that powerful voice that Beyonce brings to the table every time. The lyrics also speak of the grind that this story embodies!

The Sisters Are Executive Producers
We can certainly say that this is an official biopic of the Williams sisters and their father. As both of them are on board as executive producers for the project. Will Smith is also an executive producer of the film as well as the star. The movie is also going to feature Saniyya Sidney as Venus and Demi Singleton as Serena. Getting a chance to handpick who's going to play the younger version of yourself for a film has to be an odd experience.
The Family Ups & Downs
From what we can tell from the trailer and other info that we have on the film it'll only show the start of Venus' career. Obviously, there's a lot that has happened since then. Including significant family drama. Richard Williams divorced Venus and Serena's mother Oracene back in 20002. From the looks of things the story isn't going to go far enough in time to be able to cover that part of the story. Richard Williams will also get to see his story get told as the 79-year-old is very much alive and well!
