Zoe Kravitz Says Her Experience With Bill Cosby Was Disturbing

The trial of Bill Cosby went down in history as one of the most popular celebrity trials. When he was convicted for aggravated indecent assault on April 26, 2018, it was a huge moment for those who followed the proceedings or were affected by it somehow.

Despite the popular thought that Cosby's conviction was the last of his relevance in society, his recent retrial and overturned conviction changed all of that. It was a big moment in the Cosby saga and caused a lot of backlash from those who had publicly condemned the former television star and his alleged crimes.

One such person is award-winning actress Lisa Bonet, who worked with Cosby for a long time on "The Cosby Show" and "A Different World." Her relationship with Cosby was reportedly a very tense one that ended badly with her getting fired.

As it turns out, Bonet is not the only one in her family who interacted with Cosby and was left with a bad taste in her mouth.

Her daughter, Zoe Kravitz, also recently expressed her reservations on Cosby's character and said she thought that her experience with him as a little girl was particularly disturbing.

Bonet recently spoke up on her feelings concerning the criminal allegations charged against Cosby, whom she worked with for a long time on the shows, until, according to reports, Cosby fired her for getting pregnant.

The 53-year-old told net-a-porter that while she was never aware of his tendencies, she always knew something was off about him.

She said, "There was just an energy, and that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed."

Bonet revealed that the weird feeling had always been there when asked how long she had felt the "sinister energy?" "Always. And if I had anything more to reveal, then it would have happened a long time ago. That's my nature. The truth will set you free." she said.

Many of her fans have expressed that they expected Bonet to be somewhat vengeful toward Cosby due to their dramatic relationship. Notwithstanding, Bonet didn't think it necessary to make a big deal of the issue. In her words, "I don't need to say, 'I told you so', I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be."

During an interview with Rolling Stone, Kravitz reiterated her mother's stance on a dark "sinister" energy she felt around Cosby and gave more insight into her mother's relationship with him.

"Whether he was attracted to her, or he resented her for having a mind of her own, she always got a weird vibe from him, a dark vibe," Kravitz emphasized.

She also spoke about her personal experience with Cosby and referred to a picture she took with him when she was an infant, which she thinks is very "disturbing."

In the photo, Cosby was holding her. Kravitz revealed that upon reflection, the picture gave her "dark vibes." The actress said, "It's actually a really disturbing picture. His face is not a sweet face at all. It's kind of creepy."

In an interview with The Guardian in 2015, Kravitz revealed that, like many people, she also had questions on whether her mother was aware of Cosby's actions relating to the accusations. She got so curious that she decided to ask Bonet about what she knew about the allegations.

Bonet reportedly explained that she was unaware of his tendencies in response to her daughter's questions, like many others who worked with him.

Kravitz said in her interview that she thinks her mother is just staying out of it. She also added that "She's just as disgusted and concerned as everyone else is, but I don't think she has any insight. It's news to her as well."

Despite Bonet's claim of being unaware, Kravitz knew that many people suspected that her mother was aware of his doings because she was on "The Cosby Show" with him.

"She's a very straightforward person. If there was something she felt the world needed to know that would help this case or help any women who had been abused, she would say something." Kravitz assured.

Kravitz had somewhat contributed to the tension between Bonet and Cosby even before her birth.

The two already had several misunderstandings right from Cosby's frequent comments on Bonet's unprofessional behavior.

Cosby reportedly expressed his disapproval towards Bonet's decision to take a role in the movie "Angel Heart," where she had a nude scene and also complained a lot about her lateness to The Cosby Show's set on several occasions.

Eventually, Cosby fired Bonet from "A Different World," the sequel show to "The Cosby Show," and it was reported that it resulted from her decision to become a mother and give birth to her daughter, Kravitz.
