Somehow, Renée Zellweger and unrecognizable seem to go well together, considering the gorgeous Hollywood actress has more personas than a cat has nine lives. She put on weight from “Bridget Jones Diary”, lost it for other movies. Then suddenly, she showed up on the red carpet, looking so different that people shouted “Botox”. Zellweger meanwhile, kept mum.
And now, she’s looking radically different again. But it’s for a movie, so the fans don’t mind. And neither does Ant Anstead.

Renée Zellweger has to don a fat suit, facial prosthetics, and a blonde bob hairdo for the NBC limited series on convicted murderer Pam Hupp, and it seems that boyfriend Ant Anstead does not mind the extra weight in the least. The series focuses on Pam Hupp, a woman who allegedly murdered her friend but got her (the friend’s) husband convicted for the same. The conviction was overturned in light of new evidence later, while Hupp was on trial for another murder. It’s a six-episode series, titled “The Thing About Pam” and is based on the NBC Dateline podcast with the eponymous name, Zellweger, in her prosthetics, can make for quite a chilling likeness.

Shamed For Wearing Fat Suit

Now it may be part of her character, to look a certain way or size, but Renée Zellweger has come under fire for wearing a fat suit, with many saying that her actions are “damaging, fatphobic, and potentially triggering to fat people.” Considering that Sarah Paulson also just received flak for the same, people simply want the real-life actors to play real-life roles when it comes to size.
And it’s not as if Zellweger has not done it before, considering she did gain weight for her role in and as Bridget Jones. But then again, she has never understood the fascination behind the weight she gained or lost for that character, so it’s unlikely she’s bothered about the fat suit.
But Ant Anstead Does Not Care
Weight or not, fat suit or not, Ant Anstead seems completely smitten with Zellweger, as he recently shared a post about a “magical trip”. Wrote the British presenter, “WOW there is something very special about New Orleans! The late-night wandering, the mind-blowing history this nerd loves, the architecture, the blend of cultures, the food, the people, the smells, and noises!”
And then he ended with saying, “All made better by the magical company to share it with…” as she shared a picture of him and Zellweger stealing a kiss.

All’s well in love and love, and never mind the fat suit or the murderous character Zellweger is playing. As one fan said, “I am so glad Bridget Jones finally found her person…”. And so are we. Even if it wasn’t Hugh Grant or Colin Firth.
