Meghan McCain Lists The Best & Worst Guests On 'The View'

Former The View co-host Meghan McCain’s new audiobook “Bad Republican” is dishing out some juicy tidbits. The latest discovery from a snippet of the audiobook obtained by Daily Mail, McCain rates some of the more notable guests during her time on the show.

The 36-year-old had some not-so-great things to say about actor Nathan Lane and she recounts that shocking confrontation between The View panel and Jeanine Pirro who has to be the worst guest the show has ever seen.

In the excerpt, McCain detailed that former FBI director, James Comey and new correspondent Rachel Maddow were “terrible guests” pointing out that they were both so rehearsed that a good interview was basically impossible.

She went on to shockingly call Lane “a d—k.” explaining that she felt that way because, “it made me so mad because I loved him before I met him.” never meet your idols, right? On the bright side, she had only good things to say about Terry Crews and Jamie Lee Curtis.

She also gave a nod to Tyler Perry who she said has something about him. “Tyler Perry is lovely, smart and so supportive…he has this miraculous energy about him, it's gravitational.”

McCain's word practically come off the page when she described her worst guest of all, Pirro. “She came on the show and told us we all had Trump Derangement Syndrome, and when we pushed back, she became instantly enraged.”

The former host went on to state that the Fox News host called her and her co-hosts “c**ksuckers”. Sarcastically, she asks, “Who says c**ksucker, much less shouts it 1,000 times? McCain said, adding that "it's the dumbest word.”

She shares that later, backstage she heard Whoopi Goldberg yelling at Pirro, “to get the hell out of the building.”

If you thought Pirro was bad (granted, she was), McCain also shared that Donald Trump Jr. was a hot mess as well. He appeared in 2019 for the 5000th episode and brought his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle along for support. But, according to McCain, “he also packed the audience with Trump supporters.”

“It felt a lot like an episode of 'The Jerry Springer Show' or an MMA cage match,” described McCain who also pointed out that she used to work with Guilfoyle at Fox News, “before she was fired for allegedly sending around penis pictures.”

McCain announced in July that she would be swiftly exiting The View, a job she had for 4 years. The new mom revealed in her book that it was time to move on because she was miserable at the daytime talk show.

She scandalized her co-hosts as being mean and unwilling to accept her even after being there for four years. McCain regularly engaged in disagreements with the women which is what the show is basically about however, she claims that they often took things too far and made it personal.

McCain claims that she was more or less bullied on the show in front of and behind the cameras. “Bad Republican” will be released on Audible on October 21.
