Gigi Hadid suffered an unusual wardrobe malfunction ahead the Chanel Haute Couture show in Paris today – 24-year-old Gigi had an early, 8 a.m. start as she headed to rehearsals for the French fashion label, but she got stopped in her tracks – literally.
Gigi took to her Instagram stories to share a brief moment ahead of the rehearsals, with the camera appearing to show one item from the model’s arrival wardrobe to have majorly malfunctioned. While the American’s clothing seemed fine, she had a giant shoe problem going on.
The Instagram story shared to Gigi and fellow model HuynJi Shin’s accounts showed Gigi smiling and laughing as she realized that the entire heel from her cream-colored shoe had broken away.
It was a clean break. Gigi’s left foot clearly showed the heel-less shoe in all its failed glory, with Gigi herself seen throwing her arms up as she was flimed.
Shoes aside, Gigi seemed to have nailed her look. The model was killing it in a sleek, all-black pants look, also wearing a long coat with a sheepskin collar.
Gigi and shoes seem to be a thing. Particularly, ones that seem to leave the model in sticky situations. Gigi’s last shoe malfunction was at the Marc Jacobs SS20 show in September 2019. Here, Gigi had worn clogs which broke backstage.
Gigi isn’t the only model to have suffered a wardrobe malfunction. Fellow model Kaia Gerber suffered an exposing one last year – the 18-year-old daughter to Cindy Crawford was wearing a fully sheer shirt that moved a little too much as she walked the runway.
Gigi’s fanbase has been treated to some new content over on her Instagram. Just yesterday, the model shared a photo-heavy batch of images from her latest Vogue Russia feature.
Included in Gigi’s post was a sheer top, plus trendy winter looks, but fans likely made a beeline for a photo of the model in a rainbow bikini – the same likely applied to a fully topless, black-and-white photo.
Gigi has also posted a snap of herself in a stunning dress while walking for Kardashian-adored designer Jacquemus.
Gigi is one of the most-followed models on social media, perhaps only overshadowed by Kendall Jenner. Gigi’s Instagram following sits at an impressive 51.3 million.
Speaking to Variety in 2019, Gigi revealed a strong head on those shoulders.
“I always wanted success for myself. I wanted to support myself,” she told Variety.
“I wanted to get to a place where I could have creative freedom and start to have more power to shape my life. Fame is something that I deal with and learn about every day,” the sister to Bella Hadid added.
