As fans of HBO’s critically acclaimed “Scenes From A Marriage” watched the marriage story between Jonathan and Mira slowly begin to dissolve, their relationship seemed to become more and more vulnerable.

In the five-part miniseries, fans see both characters appear undressed only a handful of times. Jessica Chastain, who played Mira, was nude in a shower scene in the second episode. Oscar Isaac, who played Jonathan, revealed his bits after a lovemaking session in episode 4.

However, Isaac, 42, recently claimed that he had no idea that his private parts were going to be on display for the world to see!

‘I Saw It Clear As Day’

In a recent interview, the “Ex Machina” star claimed that he only found out about his full-frontal scene when it started trending on social media.

“You're welcome, Twitter,” Isaac joked. “I was surprised because I didn't know that was going to happen. You get sent the stuff to look at to be like, 'OK, I'm fine with that.' But I saw it on a laptop quite dark and I didn't notice what was happening down there. It was a surprise when I started seeing all these things like, 'It's full frontal' — I was like, 'No, what are you talking about?'”

He added, “And I saw it, and clear as day on the big TV there. It's there for everyone to see.”

A Delicate Balance

In a previous interview, Chastain, 44, revealed that she was okay with performing naked in front of the camera, but only if her male co-star was treated the same way.

She explained, “I said in the very beginning, ‘I’m comfortable with all the nudity, but any part of my body that you show, you’re going to have to show the same with Oscar.’”

Although the duo has been friends since their days attending Julliard together, Chastain admitted that filming sex scenes were embarrassing and she had trouble going through with the scene, so Isaac worked to help make her feel more comfortable.

“Because I was so nervous, he played music and we drank a little bit of bourbon,” she explained. “He’d say, ‘Just pretend there’s no one else here. It’s OK.’”

The "Hippo Song"

While being interviewed for his upcoming role in "Dune," Isaac appeared on "The Tonight Show" with host Jimmy Fallon.

Although we don't know exactly what song he serenaded Chastain with on set, he revealed that he created an original rock ballad-esque lullaby about hippos.

"Here's the thing," Isaac warned the audience before his performance. "I remember I played it for Jessica's daughter, and she started crying. So it can be intense."

The duo then rocked out while Isaac performed the song on his guitar. Fans of Isaac know that he has serious vocals: in 2014's "Inside Llyewyn Davis" he performed "Dear Mr. Kennedy" with Justin Timberlake and "Star Wars" co-star Adam Driver.

Work Couple Goals

This is not the first time Isaac and Chastain have worked together on an intimate project. She played her husband in 2014’s “A Most Violent Year.” Chastain has openly talked about how they were “feeling each other’s thoughts” by the end of the shoot.

“We joke he’s my work husband,” she teased. “I could tell immediately if someone said something and it bothered him.”

Despite their undeniable chemistry, both are married to other people.

Isaac married Danish filmmaker Elvira Lind in 2017, and the pair have one son together, Eugene Isaac, born that same year. Chastain also married her husband, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, in 2017 as well.

Fans of Isaac can see him in the upcoming action-drama “Dune,” which hits theatres this Friday on October 22, 2021.
