A ‘Teen Mom‘ star has revealed she identifies as bisexual.
The hit reality TV show, which started out as “16 & Pregnant,” has seen the likes of Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell and more navigate the trials and tribulations of motherhood from their teen years to now.
Most of the mothers featured in the first season of the MTV reality show are in their late twenties or early thirties now.
Once the moms aged out of their teenage years, the spinoff show “Teen Mom OG” was created and continued to follow the highs and lows of motherhood.

As fans of the show know, Farrah left the series after majorly butting heads with the other moms.
Amber has had her fair share of drug related problems, run-ins with the law and multiple male partners.
However, a shocking revelation came during Tuesday night’s episode, the 31-year-old came out as bisexual.

Not only did she come out, she also revealed she had a relationship with a woman for about eight months when she was 20-years-old.
While talking with show producers, Amber revealed she’s writing her second book which will dive into some “real s***.”
“People are going to be a bit shocked that I am bisexual,” Amber said. “That I have had a relationship with a woman for 8 months before [when I was 20 years old].”
She noted that her ex-boyfriend and father to her daughter, Leah, knows of her bisexuality but may not be “very open.”

“I think he’s [Gary Shirley] going to think it’s going to be bad for Leah,” she said, referring to their 12-year-old daughter. “He doesn’t even like the thought of going to therapy to help our relationship so this is just another embarrassment to them.”
Sadly, Amber has a very strained relationship with her first-born, which has been documented in the media for the past year.
Despite being estranged to Leah, the ‘Teen Mom’ star admitted she finally came out because of her two children.
Amber has a son, James, with ex-boyfriend, Andrew Glennon.

“[They] are a really big factor of why,” Amber said. “I don’t want them to ever think it’s bad. I don’t want them to look at other people who are like this and think it’s bad. Who am I to sit here and hide forever? Which is actually what I was planning on doing anyways. I was going to go to the grave with this.”
National Coming Out Day just so happened to fall on Monday, October 11, this year.
