'Fuller House' Dog Cosmo Mourned By Cast Members From The Show

Jodi Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure are among the "Fuller House" cast members who are sharing tributes to the show's dog, Cosmo, who passed away recently. On Monday, the show's official Instagram page announced the sad news that the golden retriever had died.

"We're sad to share that the Fullers' faithful dog Cosmo, who grew up on our set, passed away after complications from surgery. There will never be another quite like our boy. We'll miss him forever," the post wrote, alongside a touching gallery of photos of Cosmo from a puppy to full grown dog.

Sweetin took to her Instagram to post a message of her own. "As you may have heard, our beloved Cosmo has passed away. He had gone in for surgery and suffered complications. Our little Cosmo was always such a good boy and our hearts are. Say hello to Comet for me, buddy. #brokenhearted #suchagoodboy #fullerhousefamily #alldogsgotoheaven #itsalwaysopen," she wrote.

Fans shared their sympathies in the comments.

"My daughters love Cosmo, when they watch the show the are always exited to see him, sorry for your loss," one wrote.

"Aww man I am so sorry for your lost my prayers go out to you and your family. I would feel the same way if my dog died," another said.

"oh sweet Cosmo. This is devastating. I know he’s living it up in doggy heaven with Comet!" a third fan replied.

Bure shared a tribute on her Twitter feed, too. "Our sweet boy Cosmo is now running around in doggie heaven. I imagine he's playing with Comet [wink emoji] right now," Bure tweeted. "Cosmo has been in Fuller House since the start and we are heartbroken that he passed away during surgery complications. You'll be so missed love bug," she wrote.

It's been an emotional year all around for the "Fuller House" cast and crew. The final episode of the series was filmed in November. The first half of the final season its already on Netflix, and the second half will be released early next year.
