Looks like Trevor Noah has a case of buyer's remorse!

Nine months after Noah purchased his Bel-Air mansion, "The Daily Show" host has put it up for sale. Noah, who took over hosting duties of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" from Jon Stewart in 2015, spends most of his time in New York City, where the show is filmed.

Originally purchased for $27.5 million, the stand-up comedian has listed the home for $29.75 million after making several upgrades to enhance its signature appeal.

Surprisingly, this is not the first lavish property that Noah has sold soon after purchasing. Noah bought another Bel-Air mansion in 2019 for $20.5 million and later sold it for a $1.2 million dollar profit.

What’s It Look Like?

The 11,375 square foot Japanese-style home was originally built by LA architect MarkRios and features an exterior that is said to resemble a series of white and gray cubes. It also features “heavy, dark timbers” that were inspired by the homes Rios visited in Japan.

Several of the house's key features include six bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms, an impressive wine room, an expansive gym, and a rooftop terrace that can be converted into a screening room.

The spacious 3-story home also features a glass-enclosed elevator to navigate its open layout. The extravagant mansion was built for entertaining, and now includes a fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and club room. It also includes a luxurious steam room, large pool, and Japanese-style spa, complete with massage tables and changing rooms for the ultimate home-away-from-home experience.

Although the property features large windows to allow for plenty of natural sunlight, the home was built on a hill and features 18-inch thick walls to ensure plenty of privacy.

Net Worth

The news of Noah’s latest sale led to many fans raising questions as to how Noah, a South African immigrant, could afford so many lavish properties on his "Daily Show" salary.

Between his sold-out comedy tours, bestselling books, production deals, and hosting duties, Noah boasts an impressive net worth of around $100 million dollars. Although Stewart earned an annual salary of $25 million for his hosting duties, Noah’s salary was between $5 million to $8 million until it was raised to $16 million in 2017.

Noah has also written, produced, and starred in 11 comedy specials. His most recent comedic venture, “Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia” received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Variety Show and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Comedy Album.
