Britney Spears reportedly has had her home swept for spying equipment while on vacation with her fiance, Sam Asghari, following allegations her father bugged her private bedroom with recording devices.
According to multiple reports, the ‘Toxic’ singer’s legal team brought in “military security specialists” to sweep her Los Angeles mansion, while the pop star enjoyed a tropical vacation with her fiance in French Polynesia.
As you know, Jamie Spears is being accused of working with a team of security analysts to plant recording devices in Britney’s home which included one in her private bedroom. The pop star’s lawyers were livid about the situation and added it to the complaints to remove him from the conservatorship. But, now that the is “suspended” from the case, lawyers are stepping in to make sure nothing else like that remains on the property.
Britney Spears’ Team Conducts An ‘FBI Style’ Sweep On L.A. Property
“When allegations arose about the spying, the action was immediately taken to make sure things were more secure,” a source told The Sun. Adding, “It was effectively a sweep, similar to what the FBI does.”
So how does this work you ask? Well, the professional team reportedly checked everything from the walls, ceilings, vents, even furniture for hidden cameras or listening devices. The group apparently made a full sweep of the house and surrounding land owned by Spears.
“This is pretty serious stuff and taken very seriously,” the source continued.
At this point, it’s unclear if anything was found during the massive sweep. It should be noted, Jamie Spears has not admitted to taking part in surveilling his daughter but would have no grounds to be on her property or interfere with what is going on with her life now otherwise.
Britney’s Lawyer: Jamie Spears Crossed ‘Unfathomable Lines’ To Invade Her Privacy!
As we reported, Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart accused her father of crossing “unfathomable lines” with the situation, and engaging in “horrifying and unconscionable invasions of his adult daughter’s privacy.” The “intense surveillance apparatus … evidently captured attorney-client communications” as well as “audio recordings from Britney’s bedroom, including private communications with her children,” he stated.
“Unauthorized recording or monitoring of Britney’s private communications … represent an unconscionable and disgraceful violation of her privacy rights and a striking example of the deprivation of her civil liberties,” Rosengart said following the discovery.
He continued, “Placing a listening device in Britney’s bedroom would be particularly horrifying and corroborates so much of her compelling, poignant testimony. Mr. Spears has crossed unfathomable lines.”
