Nick Viall has a very long history on 'The Bachelor.' His reputation on the show wasn't always the best. While he seemingly redeemed himself by the end of his run, new information from ex-fiance Vanessa Grimaldi might change all of that.

He first appeared on Andi's season of 'The Bachelorette.' He ended up being the runner-up when Andi accepted Josh Murray's proposal. He lashed out and criticized Andi for going all the way with him in the fantasy suite while knowing she was gonna pick Josh.

He didn't make himself look any better after crashing Kaitlyn's season of 'The Bachelorette.' While he made it to runner-up again, he criticized her for telling Sean she had feelings for him early on.

Despite this, he became a fan favorite during his time on 'Bachelor in Paradise.' Despite yet another unsuccessful attempt at finding love, he was given a fourth chance and his own season of 'The Bachelor.' In the end, he proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi. However, it turns out their engagement wasn't as blissful as it seemed.

Vanessa admitted on a podcast a month ago that she didn't actually want to be engaged to Nick Viall.

“I didn’t want to get engaged. They didn’t air this,” she said on the podcast. “I had a conversation with him, and I said, ‘Listen, wouldn’t it be better if we just date outside of the show and then get engaged? Because that’d be more meaningful. We’d get to know each other.’“

Nick Viall, unfortunately, didn't understand the concept of "no means no" and insisted on the proposal.

“He said, ‘I know to you it could be just a piece of jewelry, but there’s so much meaning towards us leaving engaged because there’s going to be so much attention,’” Grimaldi continued.

“There’s going to be so much backlash on us once we’re done with the show. At least this is going to hold us so much more. It’s going to hold us together. It’s going to hold us together more than it’s true. ‘Cause you have, like, something you’re working towards, right?’”

Kaitlyn brought up Vanessa's comments when she had Nick Viall on her own podcast.

“We’re going to play a nice little game of ‘Truth or Drink,’” Bristowe told the podcast audience at a live-taping. “And I’m going to start it off by asking Nick a hard-hitting question about Vanessa.”

“So, the question is, what do I think about it? Or not, whether it was true?” he asked.

“Yeah, what do you think about it?” said Bristowe.

“Uh, I mean, it was fine. Right? I mean, like, was I irritated?” said Viall.

It's hard to tell whether Viall's actually over it.
