Fans Are Eagerly Awaiting Shakira's Upcoming Single

In July 2021, Shakira released her newest song, "Don't Wait Up." The chart-topping hit is her first English single since 2016's "Try Everything" and featured a unique style of electronic dance-pop from the "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" singer, which was released in 2010.
"Don't Wait Up" is the first single released from her twelfth studio album, which is set to drop in 2022. More singles are rumored to drop later this year, and Shakira has been tight-lipped about what fans can expect, although it's hinted that Shakira might be exploring new musical styles in her latest work.
Her upcoming album is still untitled, but it is expected to explore the musical styles of dance, pop, and rock. Like most of Shakira's work, it is also expected to cover themes of relationships, self-improvement, political issues, social justice concerns, and the importance of family.
Shakira even posted a photo of herself on Instagram with an acoustic guitar in her lap as she sat behind a pop filter in what looked to be a small recording studio. Shakira, who is wearing a baggy green sweatshirt in the photo, captioned the pic, "Hard at work!"
Fans overwhelmed the comment section with heart-eye emojis, with one fan writing, "Go shakiiii can’t wait to see what your working on."
Fans are even more eager to hear new music from the "Beautiful Liar" after Shakira revealed on her Instagram Stories yesterday that she and her son survived a terrifying encounter with a pack of wild boars while in a park in Barcelona!
Wait...WHAT?!?
It's true! The "Hips Don't Lie" singer and her son went through a frightening ordeal in Spain when both she and her son were attacked by wild boars.
In a series of videos she posted to her Instagram Story, Shakira explained that she and her son were in a park outside of Barcelona when the wild animals attacked her, her son, and even stole her handbag.
"They've destroyed everything," Shakira says, admitting that she actually fought with the boars to try to reclaim her stolen purse.
"They were taking my bag to the woods with my mobile phone in it," she explained as she held up her dusty handbag. At one point, she turns to her son and says, "Milan tell the truth. Say how your mummy stood up to the wild boar."
Shakira is not only fierce but also an amazing mom. Two weeks ago, she posted a video on Instagram cooking with her children on Instagram, dubbing it "Today's pancake adventure!" Two weeks before that, her and her kids were filmed having an impromptu dance party, which Shakira posted to her TikTok page.
Wild Boars, Though?
Crazy, but true! Barcelona is not the only city to be overrun by wild boars. Wild boars have apparently become a daily sight in Rome, "ransacking" the streets as they search for food.
Although videos of these wild animals have become a viral sensation, these boars can travel in groups of 10-30, making it potentially dangerous for locals and unsuspecting tourists alike.
One 79-year-old grandmother admitted, "I am afraid of walking on the sidewalk because on one side there are the dumpsters for the rubbish and they (the boars) jump on me."
Sounds like Shakira got lucky! Although, with her sons learning some cool karate moves, she might have picked up a thing or two!
