The fight is finally over between Scarlett Johansson and Disney! After two months of legal battles, the parties have finally reached a common ground.

According to People Magazine, Johansson and the giant media company reached a settlement sometime this week, but the settlement details were not shared publicly.

In a statement to the magazine, the actress expressed her joy over her and Disney finally putting the lawsuit behind them. She said:

I am happy to have resolved our differences with Disney. I'm incredibly proud of the work we've done together over the years and have greatly enjoyed my creative relationship with the team.

Johansson Sued In July

The Blast previously reported that Johansson took the media company to court over the release of "Black Widow" on Disney+ and in theaters simultaneously.

In the court documents we obtained, which the actress filed in Los Angeles County Court, she alleged that Disney breached her contract by releasing the superhero film on the streaming platform, thereby costing her money.

She claimed she signed an exclusive theatrical release with the company and accused them of breaching her contract to drive up their stocks and subscriber base while hiding behind the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Black Widow" was available on Disney+ in the "premier Plus" section, costing subscribers an additional $30 to watch the movie.

Following the lawsuit, Disney immediately responded, describing Johansson's allegations as one without "merit." Of course, the media company didn't fail to bring out the big guns accusing the star of being insensitive about the pandemic.

They also released that she earned a whopping $20M alongside additional compensation. However, Johansson's lawyers weren't having it and fired back, stating how Johannson's partnership with the company has brought in loads of profit for them.

She Had Hollywood's Support

Of course, it's no easy feat going up against a giant like Disney, but Johannson had quite the backing among her peers. For one, her Marvel co-star, Elizabeth Olsen, praised her for going against the company and called her "brave."

Actress Gabrielle Union also called out Disney for "gender-shaming and bullying" the actress. Luckily, all of the support wasn't in vain!
