And just like that, another OG Real Housewives of Atlanta is saying goodbye. Porsha Williams, who has been on the show for nine seasons thinks it's time she leaves. She bummed out fans by sharing the news on Sept. 30 in a sweet goodbye message.
“After ten life-changing, gratifying, incredible years, it is finally time to begin my next chapter,” wrote the Go Naked Hair founder.

‘Difficult Decision’
The message tugged at the heartstring a bit. “After ten life-changing, gratifying, incredible years, it is finally time to begin my next chapter. This was a difficult decision to not only make, but also come to terms with,” she continued.
“It's one I have put a lot of thought into and because of that, I know it's the right one,” said Williams who joined the show in 2012 as the wife of Kordell Stewart, a retired football player. Williams’s marriage eventually crashed and burned but, it brought her out of her shell, and she soon became a fan favorite.
Her farewell features the usual that one would expect from a Bravo-approved departing message. “I want to thank Bravo, Truly Original, and Andy Cohen for this opportunity, and all the show’s producers, editors, and assistants, for working tirelessly every day to create our show.”
‘Porsha’s Having A Baby’
As we pointed out, the show and some of the cast members she called friends helped her come out of her shell, her relationship with Bravo improved as well, so much so, that when the mom of one announced that she was pregnant AND engaged to local businessman Dennis McKinney, the network gave her a special, Porsha’s Having a Baby.
Unfortunately, the couple did not make it down the aisle. Williams shocked fans again at the end of season 9 when she announced she was in a relationship with the husband of a woman she brought on as “friend of the show”, Falynn Guobadia.

We Knew Already, Girl
Since getting over this drama, fans have been speculating that Williams would be making an exit after this season. She removed any affiliation with Bravo from her social media bios this is usually a good indicator because they rely on followers to stay relevant.
Plus, she has been traveling like crazy and not with her co-stars except her real friend Shamea Morton, meaning she isn’t tied down by a contract. Williams also announced soon after the season ended that she had “big things” coming.
‘Exciting New Endeavors’
Williams joins former co-star Cynthia Bailey who announced Sept. 27 that she too is leaving the hit reality show. She has other business ventures she would like to focus on like the Bailey Wine Cellar and a few brand endorsements.
The reality star made sure to note that just because she is joining Bailey by saying goodbye and is not going to be an Atlanta housewife anymore, that doesn’t mean that she will be disappearing any time soon. “I’ll be back on your TV very soon 😉 I can't wait to share all of my exciting new endeavors with the world-beginning with the release of my memoir.”
The new author shared that her book titled, “The Pursuit of Porsha”, will be out Nov. 16. As for the TV reference, she didn’t clarify but she did make reference to having a show about her family and her own life with her new fiancé Simon Guobadia.
See ya soon Porsha!
