The nation’s recent obsession with ingesting Tide Pods has now prompted YouTube and Facebook to comb through their videos and remove all traces of dumb kids eating laundry detergent.
For all the non-detergent eaters — there has been a recent fad of people posting videos of themselves on social media eating the Tide Pod laundry detergent packets.
YouTube is now removing the videos for violating their community guidelines for encouraging “dangerous activities that have an inherent risk of physical harm.”
Facebook is also removing videos from their own platform, and Instagram as well.
Proctor & Gamble is obviously upset about the craze, saying “We are deeply concerned about conversations related to intentional and improper use of liquid laundry pacs and have been working with leading social media networks to remove harmful content that is not consistent with their policies.”
Even Rob Gronkowski — the ultimate party bro — filmed a PSA for Tide advising people not to eat the pods.
What should Tide PODs be used for? DOING LAUNDRY. Nothing else.
