One of the men charged with the murder of XXXTentacion is accusing prosecutors of not turning over all the evidence in the case, including police statements given by the rapper's baby mama and mother.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Michael Boatwright is demanding prosecutors turn over all their evidence in the case ASAP.
He explains they did originally hand over 20 CDs containing a number of documents and items of evidence. However, he says his lawyer reviewed the police reports and they indicate officers collected more than what was handed over.
Boatwright says police took statements from XXX’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, and his baby mama, Jenesis Sanchez, along with several other people. He is requesting they turn over all those sworn statements from each witness.
The motion to compel is seeking prosecutors to also turn over all photographs they have for evidence and body cam videos.
Boatwright is allegedly one of the two armed suspects who confronted XXXTentacion outside Riva Motorsports on June 18, 2018.
